“You’re safe with me, Eli. You’ll always have a home in my arms, no matter how much our family grows. You’re my boy - adding Raelynn and Jeremy isn’t a threat to your Little’s place in my heart.”
“I know.” The words came out small. “I see it every day. You do so much for me and the kids. I just feel…unworthy and selfish because my Little doesn’t want to share. Then I wonder if I’m taking advantage of you.”
“First of all, you’ve never taken advantage of me. What I give, I offer freely to the man I love.” Willem stroked his fingers through his boy’s curls. “Secondly, you’re a beautiful person, inside and out, and that includes your Little side. With time, he’ll understand that Daddy has more than enough love for all three of you. Right now, I imagine that he’s feeling neglected and more than a bit anxious about two children moving into our home and sharing our lives. Give him some time to adjust, boy. He’s not just going to accept the change overnight. Look how long it took him to accept me. It’s going to take a little bit of time, but we’ll get there.”
Eli made a soft sound in his throat. “I…wish I believed that, Daddy. I just want to be the perfect Little for you. But he’s….” He shrugged. “…impatient, anxious and being a bit of a brat at the moment. Keeping him locked up isn’t helping either.”
“Then don’t.” Willem cupped Eli’s face in his hands, tilting his boy’s face up to him. “I’m not playing when I say that I love you just the way you are. I don’t expect perfection, Elias. I want the Little who’s sometimes shy and sweet and other times loud and antsy. I also want the adult Eli, who is fierce and guarded. But more than any of that? I want the boy I love to trust me to make this work.” He gave his boy a stern look. “You called my folks to find out how to balance the kids and our kink, Elias.”
“Yeah.” Eli flushed. “I probably should’ve talked to you, Daddy. But I just wanted to ask someone who has done it before.”
Willem sighed. “Which is exactlywhyI called my parents shortly after the kids came to stay with us.” He rubbed his thumb over Eli’s lower lip. “I’m not an expert at raising kids. I never thought to have any since I’m gay and back in my day, gays didn’t adopt or have surrogates like they do now.”
“I never even thought to ask you if you wanted a family, Willem.”
“I have one. Parents, a crazy ass nosy sister, and you.” He drew his boy closer. “Then you gave me the family I wanted, but that I never expected to have, boy. Which is why I’m not upset that you reached out to my folks. I even told my dad to expect a call when you finally got up the nerve to reach out.”
Eli studied him anxiously. “So, you’re not angry that I called?”
“Not at all.” He leaned down to brush a kiss across the top of Eli’s nose. “However, I never want to hear you call yourself a burden again. Am I understood? If you’re struggling, you come to me. Verbalize your fears, so we can face them head on. Got it?”
“Yes, Daddy.”
“Good, because if we have to have this conversation again…” Willem let his voice trail off, loving how heat flared in Eli’s eyes. “…you’ll find yourself not only in the corner with a warm ass, but then you will find yourself perched on it, as you write out a thousand times, ‘I am never a burden and my daddy loves me’.”
“I hate lines, Daddy,” Eli whispered.
“Then you know what not to do, to avoid them.” He leaned back in the glider. “However, we need to talk about your earlier infraction.”
Eli’s shoulders slumped as he looked down at the floor. “A spanking, Daddy?”
Willem studied his boy for a moment. “No. I don’t think so.” He tipped Eli’s face up once more. “No, something much worse…you are to stay in this room for the next thirty minutes while I get stuff ready. No matter what you hear, my boy needs to relax and let his Little out for a bit. Trust Daddy to take care of everything.”
“Even if the kids…” Eli looked towards the monitor.
“Even if the kids scream the house down.” Willem reiterated. “If I need help ... I will come get you. But don’t expect me to – the time of denying your Little is over.” He helped Eli to his feet, then gave his bottom a pat. “Now go play.”
“Okay, Daddy.” He mumbled before standing. “Can I have a kiss before you go?”
“Of course.” He rose to his feet, drew Eli’s head down to his, and pressed their mouths together. This was a kiss of comfort, of reassurance. Passion would come later, it always did, but at this moment Willem wanted his boy to understand how loved he was, and that Willem was no longer angry. This time, there hadn’t been a need for a spanking. Good, honest conversation had been the knife that lanced the wound, and now, hopefully, it would start to heal as he and Eli figured out together how to balance their new lives together.
When their lips finally parted, he smiled before squeezing his boy’s ass. “Go play, before I forget my plans for this evening and fuck you right here.”
“Okay, Daddy.” Eli turned toward the crafting area but paused for a moment before shooting Willem a rather naughty look. “Rain check? ‘Cause the last time you fucked me in here was over the moon, Daddy.”
“Brat.” He shook his head but couldn’t help but add his own little taunt. “But I’ll take it under advisement. Maybe my boy should draw me a picture of what he exactly wants from his Daddy.”
“Behave, Daddy.” Eli finally whimpered. “Or I’ll never get into Little space.”
Willem quirked up one corner of his mouth. “For now. Go unwind. I’ll be back in a little bit for you.”
