First Date in 17 years
Malliko
Standing in the Blind Peacock Pub with Clara I took a moment to take in my surroundings as we waited for our drinks. The room was dimly lit, with a few flickering neon lights illuminating the room and several large flatscreen TVs hung on the walls. The bar itself was a long, wooden countertop with a few patrons already seated and sipping their drinks. Behind the bar, shelves of bottles with colorful labels in all shapes and sizes lined the walls.
Evan was a little late; I could see Clara glance at the entrance every ten seconds.
“It’s going to be fine,” I assured her and received a small nod in return.
“I haven’t been on a date in seventeen years. Jeremy took me out but that was back in high school.”
When Evan finally showed up, we didn’t recognize him at first because he looked different from his picture on the dating profile.
“You must be Clara,” he said and gave her a bright smile as he approached.
“Yes, I am. And this is Malliko, my… ehm… partner.”
Evan stretched out his hand and looked up at me with an expression of awe. “Wow, you are not at all what I expected.”
The way he kept staring at me created an awkward silence until Clara spoke up.
“Why don’t we get our drinks and find a place to talk a little?” Clara suggested with a nervous look to the people closest to us.
Evan ordered a glass of white wine and exchanged small talk with Clara a little while waiting for the bartender to pour his drink.
He wasn’t much taller than her and had a peculiar beard that only stretched across his upper lip. He was wearing a blue suit with a white shirt underneath and brown leather shoes. I tried to compare him to the picture Clara had shown me and concluded that he looked a lot less attractive in real life.
Once we all had our drinks, he swung his hand to a table in the back and smiled at Clara. “Ladies first.”
I followed them and studied the way the human pulled out a chair for Clara and smiled at her the entire time. Mentally, I took notes and was highly intrigued that I would get to see a courting ritual performed right in front of me.
“I’ve been so excited to meet you,” Evan told Clara and lifted his glass. “Cheers to new friends.”
I imitated them and lifted my glass as well. They clanked their glasses against each other’s and then mine before drinking. Clara emptied half her glass of red wine and seemed nervous.
“Let me understand the dynamic between you two,” Evans said. “Are you poly?”
“Are we what?” I asked but Clara was right there to help me understand.
“He’s asking if we live in a polyamorous relationship, which means that we have more than one romantic partner.” Turning back to Evan, she declared. “No, it’s not like that.”
“Oh, okay; so I gather that he’s your stag then?” Turning to me, Evan chuckled. “I reckon you have too much BD energy to be a cuckold.”
I was struggling to understand what he was saying because I didn’t know what BD energy or cuckold meant.
“Malliko and I are new to this, and we haven’t defined what we are except that we want to pursue an open relationship.”
“Fair enough. I’ve been with hot-wives and vixens many times and I know I can give you both a good experience. Just out of curiosity though…” Evan glanced at me. “Will you take part or just observe? I’m not bi but consider myself hetero-flexible, although you might turn me bi.” He laughed and raised his glass again. “Cheers.”
With the way Clara sank back in her seat and pulled her sleeves over her hands, she looked uncomfortable, so I clarified, “I’m not playing along. My interest for now is solely Clara. Her safety and her pleasure.”
“Oh.” Evan looked a little disappointed but quickly refocused his energy on her. “I would be honored to give you plenty of pleasure. I’ve always been a butt guy and I noticed when we walked to the table that you have amazing curves in all the right places.”
Clara moved a little in her seat and still looked uncomfortable. “Thank you.”
“No problem. So, tell me, how long have you two known each other?”
I answered before she could. “Not that long, but we felt an instant attraction and realized that we have mutual interests.”
