“Mmm.” She moaned and leaned her head back. “That feels amaaazing.”
Fueled by her praise, I continued rolling my hips and varied between going deep and going shallow.
I loved every second of my time with Freya and when she came for the second time, I gave in and came with her.
I didn’t pull out to decorate her with my semen and I didn’t slap her ass at any point. With Freya I held onto her and moaned her name while I was in some strange mental place between pain and happiness.
My decade-long seduction had succeeded, and I already knew I needed more. Problem was that she had told me this would be a one-time thing between us.
Still panting, I rolled off her and asked, “When you said one time, you meant one day, right?”
Freya smiled at me. “Is that how you French count?”
“Oui,as long as we haven’t dressed it still counts as one time of sex. You know what that means.”
She had red cheeks, and the most beautiful glow in her eyes when she laughed. “That we won’t dress until tomorrow?”
I nibbled on her earlobe. “Thor was right. You are a genius.”
CHAPTER 7
Shelly Summers
Freya
I should have known that my father would rush my new protector to arrive early in France.
On Tuesday morning, Shelly, Marco, and their two children Albert and Ada arrived, a week before planned.
Because they lived in the Motherlands, I hadn’t met the Polo family more than a few times. Like most other people, I had admired Shelly from a distance since I was old enough to understand the brilliant things she had done in the world.
Victor and I were in a weird place emotionally. Two days ago, after my delegation left, he and I ended up spending a whole day in his apartment having sex five times. The experience had felt magical, but now we would have to put that behind us and focus on the project Shelly and I were here to help him with.
At least Victor and I had years of practice at pretending we didn’t like each other. Putting up a face of polite interest was easy. Walking normally when I was sore in places that I’d never been sore before was harder. And telling my heart to stop longing for more intimacy with Victor was impossible.
Marco beamed at me when he and Shelly got off the beat-up drone. “I can’t tell you how happy we are to have arrived alive. This piece of crap made sounds that no drone should be making. I was convinced that we were about to crash and die.”
I widened my eyes. “Oh, no. I’m sorry to hear that. I can imagine how stressful it must have been to an Nman like you to feel that your family was in danger and there was nothing you could do about it.”
Shelly came out and was greeted by Celeste, Victor, and five other scientists who had lined up to welcome them.
“Ada and Albert, come meet Freya Aurelius,” Marco instructed his two teenage children.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” I said as they came closer.
It was clear Marco was a proud father when he said, “Albert is eighteen and already has a degree in biology like his mother. He’s finishing his degree in anthropology later this year. Ada is sixteen and has no idea what she wants to do with her life.”
I smiled at the girl whose dark hair framed her pale face. “Does anyone at sixteen?”
She shrugged. “It’s a little hard when everyone is waiting for me to do something brilliant like my mother.”
“Or your father,” Marco teased. “Don’t forget that one reader called my second novel brilliant.”
“How could anyone forget when you framed the review and hung it on the wall?”
I laughed with Marco, who explained, “I needed the kids to see that there are more types of brilliance in this world.”
Albert, who hadn’t said anything tucked his hands into his pockets. “Our parents put pressure on us from the start by naming us after Albert Einstein and Ada Lovelace.”
