My stomach did a giant somersault. “Say that again.”
Her face melted in a soft smile and her eyes glowed. “That you’re my boyfriend?”
“Yes.” My trousers tightened as my erection grew.
Cupping my face, Fleur looked deep into my eyes. “Are you afraid I’m going to change my mind?”
“Mmhh. I know you want to get back to your farm, but it’s going to take me a few days before I can follow. I’m afraid that before I get there, you’ll call me and tell me that you’ve had time to think and it’s not going to work between us.”
Keeping her hands on my face, Fleur spoke in a slow manner. “Then I’ll stay here with you until we can go together.”
There was so much gratitude in my chest, but I couldn’t express it without sounding more pathetic than I already did, so I opted to express it physically instead.
“Come on.” Lifting Fleur off my lap, I got up and took her hand. “It’s late and I’m taking you to bed, but first we’re showering together.”
