“Sure.”

“Tell him that we missed him at our wedding. I want my friend back. If he won’t come here, I’ll come visit him. He can tell me his location without worrying that I’ll reveal it to others. I just want to make sure he’s okay and that he knows how grateful I am that we got my guarantee from Victor.”

“I’ll tell him, but Thor doesn’t believe he had anything to do with that. He said it was Freya’s chess-playing skills that got you the guarantee.”

“It was a team effort. And either way, Thor was there for me when I was new to the Northlands, and he was there when I needed help to marry Sparrow. I want to return the favor and help him sort out whatever issues he is dealing with right now.”

“I’ll tell him, Banni, but whether he’ll listen is up to him and from what I’ve seen, he’s as proud and stubborn as his father.” Stepping closer to us, Linea leaned in and embraced Sparrow and me in a group hug. “You two give us all hope that anything is possible.”

Sparrow kissed Linea on the side of her hair. “I’m so glad that you’re here. Promise that you won’t stay away from the Northlands like you used to do.”

Linea smiled. “I’m happy that I came. I wouldn’t have missed this wonderful evening for the world.”

When Linea walked away, I pulled Sparrow behind the huge fir tree and kissed her hungrily. She returned my passion and melted into my arms. We had sixty guests celebrating us less than thirty meters away on the other side of the tree, but all I could think about was my desire for my bride.

Sparrow obviously felt the same way, because her hands went to the front of my pants and she bit my tongue with a playful giggle.

Not caring if we got caught, I pulled her dress up and backed her against the tree.

Sparrow and I had developed a spontaneous and varied sex life over these past six months. Victor’s concern that I would get tired of sleeping with the same woman had turned out to be laughable. In fact, it was the opposite as I experienced a new depth to sex with Sparrow. With her and me there was a familiarity that I’d never known before, but the best part was the words of love that she whispered in my ear and the devotion I saw in her eyes. Sex with Sparrow was so much more than a physical act. Every day, I felt her give herself to me. Not just her body, but her heart, mind, and soul. It was the way she snuggled up to me at night, flirted with me throughout the day, and made me feel like I was part of something greater than myself.

“We’re married now,” I said in a gruff voice full of extreme lust. “Does that mean I finally get to come inside you?”

“Yes.” Her raspy voice whispered in my ear. “I want you to.”

I fucked my wife against a tree while everyone danced and mingled. It was risky, but I didn’t care. All her fear that the Nmen would punish me if they saw us together was a thing of the past now. Sparrow was officially mine and holding her up against the tree, I felt the strongest and most powerful I ever had in my life as I pushed in and out of my wife.

The music overpowered our moans and panting, but with our closeness, I heard every one of her moans and mutterings. “Yes, yes, yes.”

The sex was raw and needy. It didn’t last as long as normal but when I reached my climax and ejaculated inside Sparrow for the first time, I felt complete.

For a long moment, I stayed inside her, my body pushing hers against the tree, and my forehead resting on her shoulder.

“Are you okay?” she whispered.

“Oui. You are the best thing that ever happened to me,ma chérie.”

She brushed her hand through my hair and kissed my neck. “Ditto.”

With a last passionate kiss, I let her down from my hips.

Still holding up her dress, Sparrow squatted down with her legs spread and tore off some grass.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m pressing out your semen and cleaning myself.”

I closed my pants and arranged my clothes.

“Oh, I’m sorry.”

We both turned our heads to see Kya standing there.

“Sweetie, if you needed to pee you could use the bathroom.”

Sparrow smiled. “You know me. I love nature.”

“Yes, but…” Kya nodded to the wedding party. “Someone could see you.”
