Friends and family of actress Serena Star are voicing their concern after photos emerged earlier today of Star (25) kissing Irish businessman Nathan Robertson (26). Only two years ago, Robertson was convicted of a violent assault and was consequently dismissed from the Irish army. It cost him the three medals of honor he’d earned while being deployed abroad. The former soldier might have caught Star’s attention, but sources familiar with him describe Robertson as explosive and dangerous, warning the actress to think twice before swapping her dream fiancée Storm Johnson for the unpredictable Robertson. “Nathan might be handsome, but he’s a broken man with a traumatic past,” says our source, who wishes to remain anonymous out of fear of retribution.

Serena, who made her debut inAnnieon Broadway when she was nine years old, and who has since played in more than thirty-one shows and movies, has been mostly quiet, tweeting only a Bible quote believed to be a response to the photos saying:Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone.

According to Star’s agent, the actress is currently promoting her new animated film,The Blue Doorknob, on a press tour in Europe.

Storm Johnson, who proudly announced his engagement to Serena Star only six weeks ago is currently in Bangladesh to shoot a movie, but his agent released the following statement:

“Storm is feeling shocked and heartbroken by the photos. As he and Serena work through the situation to see if they can save their relationship in this difficult time, he asks for sympathy and privacy.”

My fist clenched as I raged on the inside. Storm was asking for sympathy and spreading more lies while making me look like the villain. My eyes flashed over the last paragraph of the article.

More information is coming in every hour as the world is holding its breath waiting to see if Serena Star is willing to swap out every woman’s dream man, Storm Johnson, for Nathan Robertson, a violent offender who almost killed a man and got away with only three months as an inmate.

“Ahem.” Marie cleared her throat to get my attention, and looking up, I saw a young woman sitting across from me with a kind smile.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I got distracted,” I apologized and put my phone away, my pulse still racing from the web of Storm’s lies that I was trapped in like a helpless fly.

“It’s perfectly fine. I understand. I’ve been following the news all day too.” The woman flushed red and gave a side glance to Marie before she assured me. “Please rest assured that I won’t ask any questions about your private life, and on behalf of us Brits, I’d like to apologize for my colleague’s behavior. Mr. Steward was out of line when he refused to leave.”

I instantly liked the woman, who looked to be in her mid-twenties like me. She reminded me of my sister, Lola, with the way her apple cheeks flushed red, and she lisped a little when she pronounced Mr. Steward.

With a sudden burst of spontaneity, I leaned forward. “Who do you work for?”

“A local newspaper in Brighton calledBrighton News.”

I widened my eyes. “Brighton News.”

“Yes. One day I hope to work in a big place like the BBC, but you have to start somewhere.” She gave a nervous laugh.

“What’s your name?”

“Lucille Baker.”

“Do you like being a reporter?”

“It’s all right. I’m a junior, so I’m given stuff like upcoming movies and typing down highlights from the police report. Some times I do interviews for our online segment, but mostly with local business owners and that sort of thing. You’re the first international star I’ve met.” Her confession was followed by another nervous laugh.

“Really?”

“Yes.” She gave me a genuine smile. “Interviewing you is the most exciting assignment I’ve had so far. I’m a big fan.”

“Tell you what. Why don’t I help you get a promotion by making this a phenomenal interview?”

“That would be wonderful.”

“All right, Lucille Baker. Consider this an exclusive interview about what happened yesterday.”

Her eyes widened, and she stammered. “You… you’re kidding?”

“No. I have a few things that I’d like to say but you have to promise me that you’ll be true to what I tell you. Don’t spin my story or put words in my mouth.”

“I promise!” Lucille moved in her seat as she leaned forward.

I pointed to the camera. “If your boss doesn’t believe that I agreed to an exclusive interview withBright News, then you have proof.”

“Brighton News,” Lucille corrected me, but then she sucked in her lips and kept quiet.

I loathed Storm’s lies, and I was pissed that he was reaping sympathy at my expense. River had taken his cruel treatment with silent dignity, but I felt no love for him. If Storm thought he could manipulate the whole world for his amusement, and use me as a tool, he had a another think coming.
