“So, I’ll take your advice and think about it.”

“Good, but no matter what – don’t talk to Jane about it.”

I sighed. “She’s not that bad, Faith.”

“Agree to disagree.”

We had fought about this so often that I thought is safer to quickly change the subject. “How is Logan?”

“Excited about the wedding. We’ve got a date now.”

“Yes?”

“August 20th.”

“That’s great. I’ll make sure that I plan around it.”

“You’d better. Who are you taking to the Oscars?”

“Jane set me up with Liam.”

“Really?”

“Yes. He’s not so bad once you get to know him.”

“I never said he was bad,” Faith protested. “You’ll be a handsome couple on the red carpet, for sure.”

“Thank you,” I muttered.

“Do you think you’ll win again?”

“I’m not getting my hopes up.”

Faith gave a long sigh. “It really is good talking to you again, sis. Logan has been telling me to reach out to you. He says I’m being moody.”

“And are you?”

“Maybe.”

“And are you sure it’s my fault? You could be pregnant – you know?”

“I’mnotpregnant,” Faith exclaimed. “Don’t say that.”

“Why not?”

“Because Logan already asked me that fifty times. He says my breasts are bigger.”

“Well, he would know, wouldn’t he?”

“I’m not pregnant; it’s probably just that time of month.”

“Are you late?”

“Only a few days, but I’m sure it’s nothing.”

“Promise that I’ll be the first to know if youarepregnant.”

“I can promise you’ll be the second. The first will be Logan.”
