“And would you come?” She smiled.
I tucked a strand of her long blond hair behind her ear. “If you invite me.”
Chloe wet her lips and looked to my mouth. It was all the invitation I needed to lean in and kiss her. The sweet little moan she made caused my desire to skyrocket, and with her already in my arms it was easy to get up from the couch and carry her into the bedroom.
“Do we even have more condoms?” she chuckled when I undressed her.
“We have two left,” I said without telling her that I had checked earlier, hoping that I would get a chance to use them with her.
“Only two?” She blinked at me. “Do you think that’ll be enough?”
My head was already buried against her perfect breasts, which made my answer blurred. “We’ll just have to make them last long.”
Sex with Chloe was better than anything I’d ever experienced. Her body was made to fit mine. It was like she could read my mind; she moved just the way I liked it.
I had seen so many sides of Chloe since I met her. The insecure and fragile side but also the strong, brave, and determined side. Her sexuality was as diverse as her. She allowed me to take control and even dominate her, but yesterday she had suddenly bitten me and showed a feistier side with her riding me and holding me down. Of course, it was more for show since I could have moved her at any time, but it turned me on to see her as the aggressor after already having had her my way twice.
Chloe was playful and trusting in bed. She didn’t just lie down and spread her legs. There were sounds and dirty talk combined with delicious kissing and a look of raw desire in her eyes.
And today was no different. She was as hungry for me as I was for her, and the way she pulled my clothes off with eager hands released a rush of excitement in my body.
We made love twice and probably wouldn’t have stopped there if we didn’t run out of condoms.
In the end Chloe cuddled up against me and spread sweet little kisses along my jawline, telling me that I was the hottest guy she’d ever been with.
I fell asleep a happy man.

Waking up in Adam’s arms felt safe and wonderful. He had the most delicious masculine scent, and I nuzzled my nose against his neck like a lovesick puppy.
Still he didn’t move.
Picking up my phone, I texted my personal assistant.
Please have my accountant prepare to transfer ten percent of last year’s income. I’ll text the details later.
I also sent Faith an image of two twin toddlers grinning together and a text saying. “Love you now and forever.”
I had been off social networks for two weeks, and part of me feared going back and seeing all the comments people were constantly making about me.
Jane had called several times and there were a few messages asking me to call her back ASAP. One said:Did you see the news?
With a sigh I opened a browser on my phone and searched my name. Pictures of Adam came up with subtitles calling him “The new hunk in Cleo’s life.”
Apparently sources close to us had told the press that I was happier than ever and that Adam was not only my new boyfriend but my spiritual advisor.
I arched a brow, impressed with the rarity of the press’s actually getting close to the truth.
Turning my head, I looked at the handsome sleeping man next to me and tasted the word “boyfriend.”
Somehow there shouldn’t be the word “boy” in a sentence that involved Adam. He was too much of a man for that.
I could just ask him how he felt about me and if he had changed his mind about being in a relationship with me, but I was afraid of jinxing the magic between us.
Ask me, I willed him in my mind and hoped that he would wake up any second now and call me his.
