I wasn’t sure if I passed out or not, but the next thing I knew, Nathan was picking me and walking us to his bedroom. He laid me down on the bed where he immediately went to work on undressing me, and I let him.

“I take it this is how we’re going to spend our Saturday?” I asked lazily.

The gorgeous jerk smirked. “I’ll let you eat and get something to drink throughout the day.”

Then I broke the news to him as he slid into bed with me. “I have to work today, Nate.”

One of his large hands was already cradling one of my naked breasts. “Writing or editing?”

“Editing,” I replied, and I loved how he had paid attention to how I did both.

“Fine,” he said. “I’ll make you a deal.” His lips were already skimming my naked shoulder. “Every fifth chapter, you’ll take a break, so I can make you cum.”

I closed my eyes and moaned as his lips found their way to my nipple. “Sounds like a great idea.”

“I thought it might,” he chuckled.

Epilogue

Nathan~

This was about as perfect as it got.

Well, almost.

“I still can’t believe you prefer football to this,” I grumbled at thestillmisguided kid next to me.

“And hockey,” he immediately replied. “Don’t forget hockey.” And the little traitor lifted his hand up over his head to fist bump Gideon as he walked behind Grant’s seat.

And Gideon, the asshole, fist bumped him.

“How can baseball still be third?” I asked incredulously. “I mean look around you.” Currently we were sitting in one of the VIP player’s boxes watching the Condors playing in their first playoff series, and everyone was here. It had taken some planning, but the games fell on Sayer’s off rotation, so he was here with Monroe, Leta, and their friends The Merrills. Gideon was here by his grumpy self, while Mom and Dad couldn’t make it because they had already scheduled an anniversary get-a-way for this weekend, and their quality time together was more important to them than any of us kids. It was sweet but kind of icky when you thought about your parents like that.

And besides me, with Grant, Andie, and Steven in attendance, we had also invited Charlie and Rachel and their kids. The box was packed, and everyone was having a good time. But the kid still favored football and hockey, and it still broke my heart.

“It’s because I’m loyal,” Grant replied, and I grunted.

I looked over at Andie, and she was trying to keep from laughing at me. “It’s not funny,” I told her.

“It’s a little bit funny,” she replied.

I wisely kept my mouth shut, but sooner or later, I was going to convince Grant to see the light, and then we’ll see who’s laughing.

“Our kids are going to like baseball first, just so you know,” I informed her.

She looked over at me. “What kids? Whose kids?”

I could hear Steven laugh on the other side of Grant, and that was about all that I could take. I stood up, grabbed Andie by her arms, and said, “We need to talk.” I glance around the room, and even though everyone was paying attention to the game, I still called out, “We’ll be right back.” And I swear I could hear Grant’s and Steven’s laughs trailing behind us.

We exited the box and stood just outside the door when I looked down at the woman I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with.“Ourkids,” I clarified.

Her brows shot up. “We haven’t even been dating six months, Nate,” she so rudely pointed out.

“And?”

She cocked her head at me like I was a lunatic.

“Here’s the plan,” I told her. “We get engaged at six months, married at the year mark, get pregnant on our wedding night, and pop the kid out all before Grant turns ten, so that he’s old enough to help out but not too old not to be interested in his baby brother or sister.” Her eyes widened.“Andthat kid, and all the others afterwards, are going to like baseball.”
