I’d never beenso repulsed by another humanbeing before. “What a tough man,” I sneered. “Beating a defenselesswoman. Afraid she’ll kick your ass if she has half achance?”

Randy jerkedhis head towards the man who answered Robbie’s door, and heimmediately came over, grabbeda fistful of my hair, and yanked my head back. “I’d shut the fuckup, if I were you,” he said.

Iscoffed. “Birds of a feather,huh?”

Next thing Iknew, Randy was in my face, my jaw squeezed in between his fingers.“You think we won’t hurt you?” he snapped. “You think you’re untouchable?”

I was probablysigningmy own death warrant, but rage was making me reckless. “I think youmenare a bunch of pussies,” I shot back. “I think you guys arescared of two women and, if we weren’t tied up, you’d be runningscared like a bunch of little bitches!”

“You fuckingcunt!”

“Leave heralone!” Robbie’s voice was still weak, but we all heard her just the same. “What is wrongwith you?!”

Randy ignoredRobbie’s outburst. “Tony, untie the bitch,” he commanded, and the guy pulling on my scalp, released me and went to untying my binds.

Bynow, Randy was pacing andenraged that I dared to call out his manhood. The third guy hadstill yet to do or say anything, but, again, my focus was Randy. Ihad no doubt the guys were going to do everything in their power tosave me, but I also knew I couldn’t sit back like a damsel indistress. I had to do something to save myself.

The second mybinding gave way, I stood upand faced Randy. “Let Robbie go?” I demanded. “She…she needs adoctor.”

Randy stopped pacing andlet out a snort. “Do you think I give a fuck if she needs a doctoror not?”

“She’s yourgirlfriend!” Or, at least, shewas. “Don’t you care forher at all?”

“Not more than Icare about ten million dollars,” he answered honestly.

Ishook my head. “Do you honestly thinkyou’re going to get away with this?” No one was that stupid, right?“They’re going to kill you.”

Bynow, the men had fanned outand with Randy in the middle, Tony to the left of him, and thethird guy to his right. If I didn’t know better, I’d think I wasbeing dared to fight all three of them since calling out theirmanhood. Of course, I didn’t know better. I didn’t know these men. That might very well be what they were planning since I insultedthem.

Randy’s grinwas pure evil. “Not if theywant to get you back alive, Frankie,” he taunted. “They have noidea where you are. And when they call, they’ll do everything Isay.”

“You’reunderestimating your opponents, Randy,” I replied. “Or you’reoverestimating yourself.”

“Ithink if anyone is doing anyunderestimating, it’s you.”

“Release her!’ Idemanded again.

“Make me,” hetaunted before rushing straight for me. I was about to get my asskicked by some grown men, but I wouldn’t go down without a fight. Iwasn’t going to win, butPhoenix, Ciro, and Luca had taught me well.

Randy swung, and I ducked low enoughto geta jab in across his ribs. I knew I wasn’t strong enough to make astartling impact, but I was small and quick. I just needed to dowhat the guys had taught me, and that was to get a hand on hisfamily jewels and show no mercy. Even if I had to rip his dick andballs clean off his body, that was the objective.

“You bitch!”he screamed as he wrapped his arms around my waist and threw meacross the room. I landed witha breathtaking thud, but I was able to scramble up before hecharged at me again.

“Frankie!”Robbie was screaming my name and I could vaguely hear the chairbouncing around as she tried to free herself. I ignored her criesand focused on Randy.

“Isthatall you’ve got?” Igoaded. I let out a rough laugh. “You really are apussy.”

Thewords were barely out of mymouth before he pretended to swing on me again. I ducked but he wasready. His fist came flying into my stomach and I could feel bilethreatening to rise. My elbow came up and I jabbed his face withall my strength, causing a bloody nose.

I glancearound and saw an old baseball bat leaning inside one of the boxes,I raced towards it, provingthat to be a mistake. Tony intercepted me before I could getmy hands on the bat. “Nuh uh, you stupid bitch,” he sing-songedbefore sending a fist to my midsection. The same place Randy hadlanded his first blow. I doubled over, and let my body fall to thefloor. I needed a second and making them come after me on the floorprovided that. Or, at least, it had before the third guy yanked meup by my hair. He leaned down and slammed his lips down on mine. Ibit his lip until I tasted blood. He screamed and then backhandedme until I flew a few feet towards Randy.

Ijumped up, and when Luca’sringtone filled the room, Randy yelled, “Hold her down!”

Tony held myarms behind my back while the third guy wrapped his hand in my hairand covered my mouth with his hand. They held me prisoner betweenthem, so I couldn’t even kickif I tried to. The only small satisfaction I had was seeing thethird guy with a bloody lip and the blood starting to cake all overRandy’s nose.

“Do you havemy money?” Randy barked into the phone, breathless and irate. Noneof us could hear the otherendof the conversation, but it wasn’t hard to fill in the missingpieces when Randy said, “You have one hour to get to Cedar Creek, and not a second more.” He hung up on Luca and the promise of tenmillion dollars wasn’t enough to cool his rage.

“Randy, don’t do this!” Robbie begged, hervoice hoarse and cracked from all her screaming andcrying.
