“Uh, Michaela, duh,” he replied right before hung up on us, as if he didn’t have time for our nonsense.

Denise looked at me and her face was full of wonder. “Your family is a strange one, Aiden.”

What could I say?

I couldn’t exactly deny it and not be a liar. “A bit,” I conceded. “And now it’s apparent that not only can you not escape me, but you can’t escape them, either.”

My eyes followed her stunning body as she hopped off my desk and made her way to stand next to my chair. When I swiveled towards her, I leaned back, brought my knees together, making room for her, and she straddled me like I hoped she would. My hands went to her hips, and I nipped at her bottom lip. “Good girl,” I said, lifting my hips a little so she could feel my dick hardening.

“You still want that blow job?” she asked, her voice husky and turned on.

I shook my head. “Nah,” I answered. “Now, I want you to ride my cock.”

Her lip curved. “Good thing I locked the door when I walked in here, then.”

Chapter 25

Denise~

It’s been a week since I officially accepted my new transfer to work for Shane, but it would still be another month or so before I could actually start working for her. There were a lot of things to finalize and Shane still had to recruit the rest of her team. I also heard that Mason was restructuring the entire floor beneath his to house her entire staff and whatever she needed to run her subsidiary. When I asked Shane if it was true, she had laughed and just said Mason had problems.

I briefly wondered what it must feel like to be married to a psychopath.

And, it turns out, the party was a go. Mason said he was always down for a family get-together and I had been so surprised over his easy acceptance of me and my family in his brother’s life, I had kept my mouth shut and graciously gave in.

“Denise?”

I looked up from some accounts I was trying to finalize to see Sarah and Kelly standing in my doorway. The second I noticed Kelly, I realized how much I missed my friend.

Even if she did throw me to the Buchanan Wolves.

I smiled. “Kells, what are you doing here?”

She and Sarah exchanged a glance, and I silently prayed there wasn’t a strip-o-gram coming through at any minute. “What did you guys do?”

They both looked back at me, Sarah wide-eyed, Kelly smirking. “What makes you think we did anything?”

“Yeah,” Sarah joined in. “How do you know I’m not just escorting a visitor to your office?”

I cocked my head at both idiots and replied-rather reasonably, “Because Kelly’s been here a million times and doesn’t need you to help her find her way to my office, Sarah.”

Her lips rolled in and popped out. “Okay,” she grumbled. “I suppose there is that.”

Something was up with the Scooby Gang and there was no way I was going to let them blindside me. I stood up and crossed my arms over my chest. “What’s going on, Ladies?”

Kelly opened her mouth and lied straight to my face. Now, how did I know she was lying? Because she’s been my best friend for eons; I knew when the hoebag was lying through her teeth. “I came to take you to lunch, but Sarah stopped me to break the news to me that you had a last-minute meeting with Mason Buchanan.”

Holy shit! I had a last-minute meeting with Mason?

Wait.

No.

Kelly was being a lying liar.

“You’re lying,” I accused. I pointed my finger at both hoebags. “You’re both lying.”

Sarah gasped and Kelly’s right hand slapped against her chest, all offended-like. “I would never lie about such a thing,” Kelly rushed out.
