He hadn’t smiled so much in his entire life.

And he liked it. “Come on. Do you need a ride back to town?”

Aria nodded slightly, “What do I need to do for my car?”

He ran his thumb over her soft cheek once more, “Let me worry about it. That’s all you need to do.”

She looked like she wanted to protest and he grinned, “I mean it. Let me worry about your car. If you need a ride or anything, just text me.”

A smile spread across her lips and she looked down at her purse and pulled her phone out, handing it to him.

He programmed his number into her phone and then called his.

It buzzed in his pocket and then he made her squeak again when he lifted her into his arms.

“I can walk, you know.”

He smiled down at her, “You can, but it feels good to have you in my arms.”

She blinked up at him and he felt the back of his neck heat.

She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck and he brought her to his truck and put her in the front seat.

Then he went back to her crutches and purse and brought them to her. “Do you need anything out of your car?”

She shook her head and he leaned in and kissed her again.

Then he walked around the front of his truck and got in the front with her.

“Where to my lady?”

She smiled and told him where to go and he started driving.
