Now this was one less person in his path to his mate.
That was what mattered in the long run. And having that girl find the man who actually wanted her? He knew she would find him.
He got dressed in the suit again when he saw it was time for his second shift to start and went back out, sitting with the children and making certain Nick knew their true wishes. The ones that they made deep in their heart.
Yes, some asked for IPads and expensive things, but deep down all they truly wanted was love and he made certain that Christmas was the day they got it.
He finished up with the last round of kids and then went and changed back into his clothes.
He fixed his hair again and then got himself a small bouquet of flowers to give her.
Yes, he was being excessive with his magic, but he didn’t care.
This was his mate and he wanted to win her over.
He saw her in the book store, cleaning up a few things and then she went to the till, and counted out the money there and put it in a bag.
Then she went to a small back room and then came out, wearing a coat over her red sweater and putting on a warm hat, instead of the Santa hat she was wearing earlier.
Her hat matched her white coat and she looked like a snow Queen.
He swallowed hard and she looked up, seeing him by the front doors.
She hurried to it, and then came out, looking down at the flowers and then back up at his face in shock.
“Those are beautiful! Oh, I love them.”
He smiled and she quickly locked the door. When she turned back around, he handed her the flowers and she took a deep breath of the fragrant blooms.
Her eyes twinkled up at him, “Thank you so much Jensynn.”
He nodded, “You are welcome my Queen.”
She blushed and he took her hand in his, lacing their fingers together and pulling her out to his car.
She followed along beside him, “Should I drive my car to the restaurant?”
He shook his head, “We will come back for it. Okay?”
She smiled, “Okay.”
He helped her into his car and then shut the door when she was situated.
He hurried around to the drivers side and got in, but noticed that she was rubbing her hands together and finally just pulled out a set of white gloves.
He smiled at the gesture and willed his car to heat faster.
He drove to a small pizza restaurant, hoping against hope that she liked it, and when she saw the sign, she lit up.
“I love this place. Their pizza is so good.”
He grinned, and then hurried to help her out of the car.
When they got seated at their table she took off her gloves and hat, putting them in her lap.
Her brown hair was tousled and she looked around the restaurant at the lights and decorations that they had put up for the season.
She smiled, making him do so in return. It wasn’t like him.
