To put the past behind him and to move on with the joy that he lived every day.

When Mila had woken up the second morning of that month, sick and her boobs beyond sensitive, she knew something was up.

She had gone to the pharmacy the night before and a pregnancy test had caught her eye.

She picked it up and had barely slept, excited to see what would happen.

She tried so hard not to get her hopes up and could barely find the courage to turn the stick over.

But the two lines on there were sharp as if she had drawn them on with a marker and she had sat down on the side of the tub, shocked.

She was having Reid’s baby. And she couldn’t be happier.

He had reacted exactly the way she knew he would and when she had told her parents, her mom had cried and her dad started grinning like a loon.

Malena hugged her tight, thrilled she was going to be a grandma, and Mila couldn’t wait to be a mother.

This next step in their journey was something she looked forward to and when Reid had told his parents, they looked at each other, “Yes, it’s time to sell.”

Reid had laughed and they were determined to live by their children again, to be the grandparents that they longed to be.

And Mila couldn’t wait. Life was damn perfect and she was ready for more.

The End.
