He leaned in and stole a quick kiss, “Not as beautiful as you.”
She felt her cheeks warm and she found a glass to put the flowers in.
He came up behind her and put his arms around her waist, and then kissed lightly on her neck and down her shoulder.
Making her moan and break out in goosebumps.
“Come on love.”
He pulled her from the room, grabbing a coat for her and to his truck, where he gently lifted her into the cab and then kissed her.
He hurried to his side of the truck and she slid over to be closer to him.
He put her hand on his thigh and then gave her a warning look when she moved her hand higher.
“Babe, we have places to go. I promise on my life that I will ravish you later.”
She clenched her thighs together and he let out a groan when he saw the action.
He drove her to the edge of town, to a small house set back in a clearing.
She felt her eyebrows dip and then he covered her eyes with a soft black cloth.
She gasped and tried to uncover it.
He put his hands over hers and gently kissed her, “No babe, it’s a surprise.”
She nodded and he helped her from the truck and then walked with her carefully to wherever it was they were going.
He pulled her to a stop and then she heard him open the doors to somewhere.
She smelled the fragrant blooms of flowers and she let out a small breath.
Then he pulled her into a room that felt warm against her cool skin.
He moved away from her, “Take off your blind fold love.”
She did and then she let out a gasp, knowing her eyes were filled with tears.
She was in a greenhouse, it was lit with tons of candles, some big ones and some small and there were a few bouquets of roses there along with the potted plants that were surrounding them.
There were also rose petals on the floor and when she finally looked over at Reid, he knelt slowly down to one knee and then opened a black velvet box in his hands.
She covered her mouth and stepped toward him.
His eyes searched hers, and he grabbed her free hand in one of his, she felt the tears sliding down her cheeks.
“Mila, my goddess, my love and my life. From the very second I saw you standing in the foyer before the wedding, you had a halo of light surrounding you. Showing me that you were truly an angel sent to save me from my life of loneliness and shadows. A goddess sent to lift me up and make my life pure bliss. And I was right. You have been that goddess, that angel and I have been the luckiest man in the world that I get to experience your love. That you chose me to love. I will love you until I take my last breath, and then I will love you forever more. You have me, heart, soul and body. They are yours and will always only be yours. I will protect you, cherish you, adore you, love every minute of our life together and still want more. I want to see you grow round with our children, to build our family, to make our future the one we both dreamed of and I want to come home to you every night and make you mine in every single way imaginable. And even some not thought of, and I will love you through it all. Will you do me the honor of marrying me?”
She fell to her knees in front of him, unable to keep on her feet any longer and she cupped his face in her shaking hands.
“Yes. I will marry you.”
Reid grinned so wide, and then she was in his arms, kissing him, and felt him slide the ring on her finger.
She broke the kiss long enough to look down at the delicate ring he had placed on her finger.
It was gold and the band was covered in tiny diamonds all over it and around it. And the center diamond was an oval, turned on its side so it was horizontal, and not vertical like most would be.
