Trace smiled, “She is pretty damn amazing. She is still surprised you and Kian let her get married.”

Reid laughed, “It was Kian more than me that was so overprotective of her. He mainly did so because he didn’t want Karalee getting any ideas of dating from Emery. It’s a smart move on his part really. Sneaky little bastard.”

Trace burst out laughing, “Oh, Emery is going to get a kick out of that. Or maybe just wait to kick Kian’s ass. But I can’t say I’m sad she didn’t date. I kinda love it. I didn’t date either. So, it works out.”

Reid snorted, “Kian didn’t date either. He knew Karalee was his girl and that was final. I didn’t date either. I saw too much and the girls at my school weren’t for me. I did take my Kaylee bug on a few dates, but that was about it.”

Trace looked at him, “Your Kaylee bug?”

Reid smiled and pulled up the pictures he had of him and Kaylee. “Yep. She is my bug. Has been since we were in 10th grade. She was voted homecoming Queen at our school and I got to take her. It was amazing.”

Brek and Trace grinned, “Okay, you can’t show these to our girls. They will fawn all over you.”

Reid snorted, “Emery knew. She was the one who helped Kaylee get ready. Emery loves Kaylee. Mila and I called her yesterday and she is going to come to our wedding. As soon as I can ask her, and we can plan it. I’m hoping for three weeks from now.”

Trace laughed, “Wow. You and Brek took a page from the same book.”

Brek laughed too, “You would have done the same had Reid not been in the hospital.”

Trace looked over at Brek and shrugged, “Fine. I would have had her down the aisle as soon as we could have.”

Reid grinned, “Who knew that any of us could be this possessive?”

Brek shook his head, “Not me. I thought I was content being alone. It didn’t bug me, until I met Sienna and knew she was my missing piece.”

Reid nodded and Trace said, “What he said. I didn’t believe that love was meant for me.”

Reid shook his head, “Well, glad I never have to look back.”

“Agreed,” Brek said, “Reid, don't keep pushing yourself. Your job is safe and while we can’t wait to have you there, we don’t want you to hurt yourself over it.”

Reid nodded, “Fine. I will take it easy. I swear.”

Brek grinned and stood, “I have a few listings for houses as well. I know you will want your own place, since you are with Mila.”

Reid smiled, “Thanks. And thanks for lunch.”

Brek nodded and they all shook hands and Reid waved at them when they left.

Then he pulled out his phone and called his ma, telling her about asking Mila to marry him.

She let out a cry, “Really me boy? Ye are gettin’ married?”

Reid smiled, “I haven’t asked her yet, but that is the plan.”

She laughed, “Oh, I will tell yer father. He will be thrilled,” she let out a sigh, “I think we are going to be movin’ from here. I can’t stay away from my kids. Especially since we are going to be having grandbabies. Ye are goin’ to give me grandbabies?”

Reid laughed, “I want that more than anything. Trust me on that ma.”

“Good. Alright, let us know when the wedding is. And we will be there. How is yer shoulder? Have ye been doing everything ye are supposed to?”

Reid chuckled, “I sure have. Thanks ma. Mila has been keeping a really good eye on me.”

Ailith let out a breath, “Good. I knew she would take good care of ye.”

Reid smiled, “She certainly does. I love her.”

He could tell his ma was smiling, “I know ye do. I am happy for both of ye. All of my kids, in love. And I am missing it. Oh lord, Ken! We need to look into selling!”
