It too was just perfect and then he slid another tiny ring on her finger.
This band was even smaller than the first, but it fit so perfectly with her ring that she felt the tears fall faster.
They were so perfect and exactly what she would have chosen for herself.
She looked up into his eyes, “I love you.”
He leaned forward and kissed her, “I love you too. My goddess, my angel, my world.”
She sighed against him and then the door to the greenhouse opened and she looked over her shoulder to see all of her closest friends and family standing there.
Reid helped her stand and then whispered, “I wanted them to be part of our moment.”
She saw everyone had tears in their eyes, and she hugged Reid close.
Then she was pulled into hugs by her mother, Kenzie, Grandma Beth, Grace, Sienna, Stacy, Emery, Reid’s Grandma Viv and surprise of all surprises, Karalee.
She hugged them all, grateful she had found the women that were her people.
And then she was hugged by the men. Her dad, Grandpa Joe, Brek, Brent, Trace, Scott, and Kian.
Kian held a phone and so did Emery.
One had Kaylee’s face and she was sobbing into a woman’s arms and the other was Reid’s parents.
She blew them kisses and then took the phone from Kian.
“Kaylee, hey there.” She crooned to the girl and Kaylee looked up from the woman’s shoulder and gave her a watery smile.
Mila smiled at her, “Hey Kaylee girl. Thank you for being here for our night. You will be coming to be my maid of honor at our wedding, right?”
Kaylee’s face lit up and she nodded, “I will be there.”
Mila blew her a kiss and felt the warmth of Reid at her back, and he waved at the phone. “Hey Kaybug. You coming for sure? I will send your mom the tickets okay?”
Kaylee nodded and the woman shook her head, “You don’t need to do that Reid.”
Reid chuckled, “I have to have my Kaylee bug there. And besides, you heard my fiancée. She wants Kaylee to be her maid of honor. Let me do this Heather. I promise I want to.”
Heather smiled, “Thank you. We both can’t wait. Thank you for having us here for your big night.”
Reid grinned, and she did as well. “We wouldn’t have had you miss it.”
“Love you Kaylee bug. See you soon okay?”
Kaylee nodded and then they hung up. Reid then walked to where Emery was and kissed his sister on the cheek and Emery let out a gasp and put Reid’s hand on her small baby bump.
Reid grinned and she hurried over, “Did you feel the baby kick?”
Reid nodded, “I guess he is excited too.”
Emery laughed and then handed them the phone with Reid’s parents.
Ailith was wiping her eyes and Ken’s were red as well.
Reid pulled her into his side, and she melted into him. “Show us the ring me girl.” Ailith said and Mila lifted her hand, showing her the ring.
Ailith gave a sigh, “He did so good. Reid me boy, ye did a great job.”
