Chapter 11
Reid
After he hung up with Nikolai, Reid felt lighter than he had in a long time.
He took a quick shower, using both hands as carefully as he could to wash his hair and it felt amazing.
His shoulder was sore today, and he knew he had overdone it, but it was worth it to him.
He grinned at the memories of last night.
How perfect she was. How she felt wrapped around him and he knew that he wanted to tie her to him in every single way possible.
He had never been with a woman before, so he had never thought to buy condoms, not that he wanted to use any with Mila anyway.
And today, he wanted nothing more than to buy her a ring. It was bothering him to no end that she didn’t have one on her finger.
He got out of the shower looked in the mirror, his beard was getting out of hand and he wanted to trim it a little.
With some clippers and a guard he did just that and it felt better.
He went to the closet and pulled out some dark jeans and a black t-shirt.
He got dressed, even though putting his shirt on wasn’t easy and pulled at his shoulder.
He combed his hair out of his eyes and when he went to leave, a knock sounded on his door.
He opened it to see Brek and Trace.
“Hey. What are you doing here?” He asked and Brek lifted a bag full of food from the diner.
Reid’s stomach growled and he laughed, “Perfect timing.”
Brek led them back to the dining room and Reid sat down after getting handed a box of food.
It smelled divine and he couldn’t wait to eat it.
He took a few bites and Grace walked into the dining room and smiled. She hurried to Brek’s side and kissed his cheek, then did the same to Trace and to him.
“What are you boys up to today?” She asked and Brek grinned, “Came to bug Reid. Heard about his girl.”
Reid choked on the bite he took, and Trace laughed, “Knew it.”
Grace grinned, “Oh yes. Mila. She is a beautiful girl.”
Brek laughed, “You knew and didn’t tell me?”
Grace gave him a gentle swat, “Of course I knew and no. I didn’t. It wasn’t my place to tell you.”
Reid smiled at her and took a drink of the shake they had brought him.
She winked at him and then walked out, and Brek turned to him.
“So, she is right? It’s Mila?”
Reid nodded, “Yes. She is mine.”
Trace shook his head, “Damn. I saw it at the wedding, but I wish we had been here to see it.”
