She smiled when he pulled back and Sienna grabbed her hands, “I can’t wait to get to know you better. I feel like I know you already. Like we are already friends.”
Emery smiled back, “I feel like that too. I don’t really have many friends, aside from my best friend, Karalee.”
Sienna nodded, “I don’t have any either. I wasn’t very popular growing up and only recently got my voice back again.”
Emery remembered Trace telling her about that. She hugged Sienna close, “Well, you have a friend now. Here, this is my number.”
Sienna pulled out her phone and put it in and then sent her a text. Emery smiled and Brek pulled Sienna out of the station, “I’m going to take Sienna home for a bit. She hasn’t really slept much since we found out about Emery. She was too excited.”
Sienna grinned, “I can’t help it. Trace finally found his happiness.”
Trace chuckled and put his arm around Emery’s waist again and nuzzled her hair. “I sure did. Go home and get some sleep. Em isn’t going anywhere.”
She melted into his side and waved at Sienna and Brek as they walked away.
She turned and hugged Trace fiercely. “I love you. So much.”
He tipped her face up and kissed her again. “I love you too. I am glad we got done before they came in.”
Emery felt her face go hot, “Oh my gosh. You're right. If they had come any sooner, they would've heard us.”
Trace laughed, “And I would have had to stop.”
He fake pouted and she laughed, “Go to work you rogue. It’s my very first day and I have already slept with my boss.”
Trace growled in her ear, “It will be a very common thing from now on.”
She held back a shiver and kissed him, “Good. Now get to work. And take me on a date later.”
He grinned down at her and walked out to his car, no doubt to get the woman’s cat out of the tree.
When he waved at her as he pulled away, she waved back and then slumped against the desk.
Lord but he was potent and delicious.
She never in a million years thought she would ever have sex at a workplace, but she also never worked with anyone like Trace before.
Nor was she in love with any of the people she had worked with in the past, not even attracted to anyone.
But here comes Trace, saving the day with his dark good looks and sexy body.
He was it for her. And she loved him for it.
