Chapter 18
Sienna
After two weeks in the hospital, Brek had finally gotten released.
Trace had been released the week before and Sienna brought him to her house, wanting to take care of him.
She had taken him to get his stitches out and they had both visited Brek. He was still shocked that they were siblings.
Trace had finally broken down and told him everything about his past.
Brek had been shocked, but they had become closer friends and Brek’s parents had basically taken them both under their wings.
Trace had decided to stay home and rest while Sienna went with Grace to pick up Brek.
Riding in the car with Grace, they both made small talk and when they pulled into the hospital, Grace said, “I told Brek that I would let him stay with you. You have helped Trace so much, and I know he wants to be with you.”
Sienna blushed and shook her head, “You are his mother. I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes.”
Grace laughed, “It’s alright. I know where his heart lies, and I still couldn’t be happier about the two of you. You are going to be my daughter soon enough.”
Sienna hugged Grace and they went to get Brek.
He had gotten dressed and was pacing in his room.
When the door opened, he hurried over to her and kissed her softly.
“I missed you.” He said and she laughed, “I saw you last night.”
He smiled, “I know. But you had to leave. And now, you don’t.”
She hugged him and Brek finally noticed his mother standing behind them.
He smiled at her and Grace gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.
Then she walked over to his bed and picked up the bag he had there.
“Did you sign all the paperwork to be released?”
Brek nodded, and then tucked her under his arm as they walked out of the room together.
Brek thanked the doctor and the nurses and Sienna did as well.
Then they walked out into the sunshine.
In the back of Grace’s car, Brek kept his arm firmly wrapped around her and whispered, “The doctor gave me the all clear. I just have to be careful.”
Sienna held in her gasp and felt her face go hot. She hissed under her breath, “We are in your mother’s car! You can’t tell me these things.”
Brek kissed her softly, “I just wanted to give you the heads up.”
She shook her head and put it on his shoulder. “I love you.”
He kissed her forehead softly, “I love you too.”
When they pulled up to her house, Trace was sitting on the front porch and Brek let out a groan.
“I forgot he was staying with you. You'll just have to be quiet.”
