Her eyes widened and she nodded.

After kissing each nipple softly, he fixed the top of her dress and then pulled her from the room.

He paid for their pizza and brought it into the living room, where he pulled her next to him on the couch and fed her bites as he ate his own.

“I invited Trace to come over. I want you to meet him. He is like my brother.”

She went still in his arms, and he looked down at her. Raising one eyebrow he asked, “What's wrong?”

She shook her head and he handed her the notebook.

“I just haven’t heard that name much. It’s different and unique. I only knew one person a long time ago with that name. That’s all. I know you have said it before, but it’s just not one you hear often.”

He shrugged. “I'm lucky I met Trace. He came from a bad home. His parents were drug users and he hasn’t had an easy life.”

Her eyes started to water, and he said, “It’s okay. He’s fine. I promise. After meeting him at the academy, he came here to be my Deputy. My parents have practically adopted him as their other son. They love him. I know you will too.”

She nodded and he pulled her back to him. “I told him to be here at 7. I don’t know what is keeping him. He must have lost track of time going over our case.”

She looked over at him as he said, “I hate this case. It has been so confusing. At first with the break-ins, they were nothing. Just things moved around and nothing of importance was stolen. Mainly stupid things that didn’t matter. But then after your break in, weirder stuff started happening. A woman’s house was trashed last night, and she had been hit over the head. And then today, another woman was stabbed. It was so shocking, and I don’t know what to think. We caught the guy today, but he says he has an accomplice. So, Trace and I are both stumped. We have no idea why, after breaking into your home, it seems to have caused the man to escalate. Why the abrupt change?”

Her mind began to race. She had remembered hearing something on the news about a small town a couple states over that had similar mysterious break-ins. They started out harmless, and then over time they got worse and worse until a young girl was found killed.

The police had no leads and they never found the man responsible for the break-ins either.

She grabbed the notebook and wrote feverishly, trying to remember everything.

She always kept tabs on that state as it was where she had lived with her parents.

Showing Brek what she wrote, made him sit up straight. He read and re-read what she wrote.

“Oh my god. Sienna, I remember this. Hand me my laptop please.”

She grabbed it off the end table and gave it to him.

Pulling up the article, Brek read quickly and then watched the news clip that was attached.

Then he watched the clip again. “Damn it. Fuck, I have to go. I have to show this to Trace. Can you stay here? Or do you want me to take you home?”

She wrote, “Take me home. I will be safe there. I promise. I want to make sure my cats are alright.”

Brek cursed, “Fine. I don’t like it, but fine.”

They hurried out to his car, with Brek’s laptop tucked under his arm.

He drove her quickly home and then kissed her mouth softly. “Do not, and I mean DO NOT open this door for anyone except me or Trace, do you hear me?”

She nodded and he kissed her again before running out to his car and taking off down the road.

Shutting and locking the door, she made certain every door around was also shut and locked.

She even went so far as to barricade her back and side door.

Getting ready for bed, she changed out of her wet panties. Feeling Brek’s cum still between her legs.

Their passion was something not of this world. And she loved it. She could only hope he would be safe and come back to her.
