Her nipples were still hard from her orgasm earlier and she looked down and back up, her eyes wide.

He looked down at her too and his eyes widened and then he swallowed, hard.

“You should probably go put some clothes on sweetness.”

She went red and he chuckled, “I will wait out here. Okay?”

She nodded and he kissed her cheek softly again and she shut the front door.

He stood in the entryway of her small house and she gestured for him to sit in the living room.

He smiled at her and did as she wanted.

Then she hurried to her bedroom, deciding to take a quick shower.

She needed new panties and as the man who starred in her fantasies now sat in her living room, and just saw her pretty much naked she needed a minute before she could face him again.

Getting out, she dried off and went to her room, picking out what she needed to wear for the day.

Pulling on some dark blue skinny jeans and a white t-shirt with a light flannel shirt over it she nodded to herself.

Happy with her look. Pulling her hair up into a messy bun, she walked out of the room and found Sheriff McGuire looking at the pictures she had on the wall.

There weren’t many, but after her grandparents had passed, she put the picture of her parents and brother on the wall. Needing their presence in her home.

He smiled when she walked in the room and she smiled back. He walked over to where she was standing, and she had to tilt her head back to look at him.

He put his hands on her hips and pulled her body into his.

“I'm sorry to intrude this early in the morning, but I couldn’t wait to see you again. I know this sounds crazy, but after I met you last night, I knew there was something about you. That you were meant for me.”

Her eyes widened slightly, and he shook his head, “Please tell me I am not alone in this.”

She opened her mouth, but of course no words came out.

Pulling free from his grasp, she hurried into the kitchen, getting the pen and notebook she had last night.

When she came back, he was standing in the same spot and she wrote, “I've never felt something like this before. It scares me and I don’t know what to do with my feelings. We just met, and I don’t even know your first name.”

He pulled her over to the couch, sat down next to her, and read her words.

“I can understand that since I'm having those same feelings. My name is Brek McGuire and I've been the Sheriff here for two years.”

She started writing, “I'm Sienna Barker. I've lived here since I was 9 but haven’t been to the town much since high school.”

He read quickly, “You have been here all this time?”

She nodded, and he pushed on. “But you don’t leave your house much?”

She shook her head, then wrote. “People are cruel and unkind towards me for not being able to speak. Their stares and their harsh words make me feel uneasy, but I can’t change their opinion. I've never been able to. It’s why I get embarrassed that you know. I wish I could speak, but I can’t and possibly never will.”

He once again put his finger under her chin and lifted it so she could look into his eyes.

“You not being able to speak is not something that would ever bother me. I don’t condemn you or want to make fun of you. It wasn’t your choice was it? Was it an illness or did something happen?”

She felt her eyes fill with tears as she started to write the horrific details of the night that her family was brutally taken from her.

Brek’s eyes filled with compassion as he read the last of her words. He pulled her into his arms. “Oh, my sweet girl, I'm so sorry. It guts me knowing the things you've endured. I'm so sorry, for you and your family.”
