“She really would,” he says softly, and then retires to his room without another word.
I wish I could be a fly on the wall for his conversation with Olivia.
It’stwo days before I can talk to Olivia.
She went home with Damien, practically moving in to take care of him, but now she’s finally back at her place.
I don’t bother to shoot her a text before heading over, thinking I may lose my nerve.
She opens the door in one of my old t-shirts and nothing else, her hair piled in a messy bun on top of her head. She looks amazing in my eyes.
“Dom? I didn’t know you were coming over.” She smiles at me, though, so I can tell she’s not annoyed.
“Needed to see you.”
“Are you drunk?”
I shake my head. “Stone cold sober.”
I’d been hungover enough to swear off booze after hanging out with Sebastian, but I don’t say that.
This isn’t about Sebastian. This is about me and Olivia.
“I love you,” I burst out, and Olivia blinks at me.
“Dominic—”
“Liv, I love you. I’m so in love with you I can’t see straight. I want us to get back together.”
She bites her lip. “But, Dom... everything’s so complicated...”
“I don’t care. I just want you. I’ll do anything, Liv. Anything you want. You want me to buy a house? You got it.”
She giggles wildly, her face conflicted. “You’d buy a house for me?”
“I’d do anything for you, Olivia.”
“What about Damien? And Sebastian? And the baby...”
I clap a hand over her mouth, and she makes a muffled noise of protest.
I look down into her eyes.
“I don’t care about them right now. All I care about is meand you. This is just our time, right now. You’re mine right now.”
“Oh.”
Arousal burns on her face.
“Say it,” I demand. “Say you’re mine.”
She looks up at me almost innocently. Little minx.
“I'm yours. I’m yours, Dominic. I always have been.”
I scoop her up in my arms bridal style, and she squeals. I take her immediately to the bedroom, slowly taking off her clothes.
“You’re such a tease.” She whines as I kiss down her calf, drawing off her panties.
