I frown, not recognizing the name.
When I flip open the file folder, it comes to me. A petite brunette, barely noticable, who works in the Accounting department.
I still don’t remember her name, but this fits. She’s new, hired within the last ninety days, and she’s about to be off her probationary period.
As far as her file is concerned, it’s... vague. There’s some mention of disciplinary action and a sealed file from her background check.
It’s interesting, to say the least.
“All right. I’ll keep an eye out for her. And I’ll tell Damien to do the same.”
Marie nods. “I just wanted to bring it to your attention. It has to be one of the newbies, right?”
God, I hope so.
My heart had nearly dropped through the ground when I temporarily thought the leak was Roland.
But he and Marie are my best friends. I would never doubt them.
“What are we doing after work?” Marie asks, and I look down at my phone, cursing and realizing it’s Friday.
Friday night is always wine night with Marie and Roland.
I whine. “I can’t have any booze.”
“You can drink sparkling cider and eat as much junk food as you want!”
“Can I have spicy chips and garden vegetable cream cheese?”
“You’re disgusting, but sure.”
“Pregnancy cravings,” I mumble in defense, but Marie just laughs.
“I’ll go by the store on the way to your place.”
“You’re an angel.”
She waves me away and leaves the office.
I don’t so much as get a peek at Damien all day, which I guess is the way Sebastian and Dominic like it.
I huff out a breath, still annoyed.
I do kind of like the idea of all my boys getting along, I guess...
What Marie had said earlier keeps repeating in my brain.
All of them. Like a princess and her harem.
A girl can dream, can’t she?
Chapter Twenty-Eight
DAMIEN
Olivia walksinto my office wearing another one of her short skirts and a demure, turtleneck blouse.
I do my best not to look at the lines of her thighs as she walks up to my desk. “What can I do for you, Ms. Carter?”
