He kissed her slowly as they both came down from their high. He looked into those satisfied, deep brown eyes when they pulled away.

“I love you.” He gave her another peck. “Do we need to talk about this later?”

“I love you, too, and no.”

Paetyn studied her for a second. “Are you sure?”

“I’m sure.”

He pulled out, placing her on her feet, and he realized he hadn’t chosen the best place because now they needed to clean up. He tucked himself into his boxers, more worried about her than him. He entered the kitchen, grabbed one of the clean dish towels, and wet it with warm water.

She pulled her panties off, complaining about them being wet and sticking to her, and he knew it was her way of chastising him for not taking them off. Paetyn took them from her and tucked them into his pocket. He took the towel when she finished and threw it in the trash bin in the kitchen.

When they entered the dining area, the blush on Connie’s face was undeniable; even her neck was red.

“Should I wait on you, baby?” Erin asked as he walked her to the door. “Or do you need to take care of some other things?”

“I think Connie and I are wrapping up. I’ll grab some food and be on my way home.”

“I have to make another stop, so I’ll grab it because I’m sure you’ll make it there before me.”

They’d been correct when assuming they wouldn’t want to be apart after those first two weeks. While Erin did go back to her apartment on the week she was supposed to, she still ended up at their house four days out of that week. They spent the other three at hers because there was no way they were leaving her alone after the break-in.

She kissed him before turning her attention to Connie. “It was nice to meet you.”

He refrained from chuckling because she hadn’t thought so seven minutes ago.

Connie cleared her throat. “Yes, you too.”

When Erin was gone, he returned to the table to finish whatever he needed with the supplier so he could go home and take his time with his girlfriend.

Erin looked herself over in the mirror one last time. She wore a deep blue lace bra and matching boy shorts. The silk bow Cruz helped her tie around her waist added the final touch for her to present herself as a present. It was Paetyn’s birthday, and she was surprising him. Unlike Cruz’s, which had fallen on a Friday, Paetyn’s fell in the middle of the week, and they weren’t scheduled to celebrate until that weekend, but Erin was going to celebrate him on his actual day.

She didn’t want Paetyn to know she was in the house before she was ready since he thought she had a late appointment, so Cruz picked her up after her last appointment. She’d been lucky because he hadn’t been home when they arrived but showed up shortly after. Erin had anticipated that could happen and decided to get ready in the bathroom housed in his playroom. It was the last place she felt he would go.

Erin had bathed in her favorite shower gel and sprayed on the perfume she knew Paetyn preferred. Once dressed and lathered in a lotion that complimented the smell of her perfume and body wash, she texted Cruz and asked him to help her tie the bow while he’d been occupying Paetyn by working out together. Now, she was making sure nothing was out of place.

“You look perfect,” Cruz stated from where he leaned against the bathroom door frame. “He’s going to enjoy unwrapping you.”

“Thank you, babe. How are you going to get him to come in here?”

He shrugged. “I’ll tell him one of his toys ended up in my room.” He pushed himself off the frame and held his hand out to her. Erin took it, turning the light off and allowing him to lead her down the stairs into the bedroom. He helped her onto the bed before kissing her forehead. “Have fun tonight.” She watched him take a paddle off the wall and exit the playroom, closing the door behind him.

Erin was as nervous waiting for Paetyn as she had been waiting for Cruz, waiting to perform her dance for him, and she didn’t understand why because they’d had sex before, plenty of times. She supposed it could have been the effects of the room and knowing what kind of night they were going to have. She hadn’t choreographed a new dance because she was aware of the differences in her boyfriends. While Paetyn would have appreciated it, there was something else she knew he’d enjoy more.

She wasn’t sure how much time passed. There weren’t clocks in the playrooms, and she’d left her phone in the bathroom with all her other things. She could have gotten it, but it would have been her luck that he would have come in while she was. With each second that passed, she got a bit more antsy. The anticipation was killing her, and the night wasn’t even about her.

Finally, she heard footsteps, and Erin positioned herself in the middle of the bed and sat on her knees. When the door swung open, those green eyes were drawn to her immediately, and they stayed on her as he stepped into the room and closed the door behind him. He wore sweatpants, hair still damp from a shower, and Erin wanted to make his beard match it. The paddle that Cruz had taken was placed on the bedside table when he reached the bed.

“Aren’t you an alluring little present,” Paetyn stated, eyes roaming over her. “Do I get to unwrap you, Angel?”

“That and more.”

“Oh? How do you want to play?”

Erin shook her head. “You choose. It’s your birthday, and I plan on beingsogood for you. I’m going to be your perfect little angel.”
