I sigh. “That is complicated, and even more complicated, because I seem to have lost the bigger part of my memory.”
She huffs. “Yeah, right.”
“Honestly,” I swear. “What I can tell you is that I have a human form and a hound form. Hellhound, I believe.”
Before I can continue, she pulls open the door, staring at me.
“You are a hellhound?”
I shrug. “That’s the word that came to mind when I had to tell you what I am. I swear, every memory I have from before coming here with you is hazy, and I don’t think they go far back.”
She stares at me in wonder. “You are a hellhound?”
“Yes,” I simply state.
She cocks her head. “So your name probably isn’t Raider, then, is it?”
I shrug again. “It is now.”
She nods. Folding her arms across her chest, pushing up her breasts in the flimsy pajamas she is wearing. I look at her. She looks at me.
“What happened downstairs?” she finally asks.
“How about we talk over tea?” She nods, proceeding me downstairs.
When we are both seated at the kitchen table with a cup of tea, she looks at me expectantly.
“Someone was at your door,” I begin. “They tried to force their way in, but you have the place locked up pretty good, so they tried your windows. I just got downstairs when I saw ashape moving at the window. I went out the back door to surprise them, but I knocked over one of your plant pots at the last minute, and they saw me. I tried to grab them, even got them down for a second, but they were quick and uhm…” I sigh, not wanting to confess this part. “They surprised me by hitting me with a crowbar, so I was unfocused for a minute.”
She gasps, turning towards me. “They hit you? Where? Are you hurt? What can I do?”
I catch her fussing hands before she can touch my head. “I’ll be alright. It’s probably already healed.” I give her a sly smile. “Hellhound, remember?”
She blushes an adorable red before returning to her tea.
“What do we do now?” she asks me.
I shrug. “I think we need to call the police, but we can wait until tomorrow if that’s okay with you.”
She nods. “Yeah, that’s okay. They probably won’t do anything because the danger has passed.”
I stand up and take her hand. “Come on, let’s get you to bed.”
She flushes again, and she stumbles when she stands.
“Are… uhm… What are you going to do?”
“Well, sleep, of course,” I smirk, taking her up the stairs.
“I… but… Where?” She manages to get out. I don’t respond, but I take her towards the bed and then sit her down on it.
“Here. I will sleep here, in your bed. With you.”
She starts shaking her head vehemently. “Nope, no, nooooo, no.”
I prowl towards her, and she falls silent; I hear her swallow audibly. “Yes, Katherine, I will sleep next to you. I need to keep you safe, and I can only do that if you are in my sight or my arms. I will protect you from any harm, but you need to let me. Do you understand?”
I hear her heartbeat quicken when she nods. I smirk until a whiff of her arousal comes my way. It’s triggering something deep inside me, and I move even closer towards her until I am in between her lovely thighs, towering over her.
