“Wild.” Brit sat across from her, then sipped her wine.

“Also, I’m a hippie pool girl, as you remember.”

“You are. We just need to find one farther out.”

Kylie winked. “I know all the best ones. Now try the food and tell me it’s amazing.”

Brittany took a nice-sized bite. No dainty princess shit for her. “OMG. This is so good. For real.”

“Thanks. That’s good to hear.” She didn’t wiggle, but she wanted to. Kylie loved to cook, but rarely got to see people eat her food.

“I am so coming back for more of this. What else are you going to feed me?”

“Mmm. We’ll talk about that after you feed me pancakes sometime. Soon.” That felt bold, but she meant it. Breakfast in bed with Brit was, like, something to aspire to. Big time.

“Oh, you’re on.” Brit reached out, brushing her bottom lip. “You had some cheese.”

She nipped at Brit’s finger. “Thanks.” Her breasts tightened, and she had to shift in her seat. Damn, this girl was hot as fire. She wanted Brit so damn bad. But she also wanted to get to know her. So she focused on not choking on her dinner.

Brittany caught her breath, her eyes going dark, but she forked up more food, too, just watching Kylie like a hawk.

She licked her lips, the green chile making them tingle. And the wine just made that worse. Or better, depending on how she looked at it.

“This is nice wine,” Kylie murmured.

“For the price you can’t beat it. And it’s smooth enough to go with most food.”

“I appreciate that. I’m not much of a connoisseur. Craft beer, coffee…sure. Wine I’m still learning.”

“But you’re willing to learn. I like that.” Brit nodded sagely.

“Are you saying you like someone who’s trainable?”

Brittany laughed, clinking their glasses together. “It goes both ways.”

“Good to know.”

“Uh-huh.”

They stared off again, both of them holding their breath, which was when Sadie scared the crap out of them by barking, begging for a bite.

“God.” Brittany put a hand to her chest. “She jealous or what?”

“She loves chicken.”

“Bawk, bawk, bawk.”

She fed Sadie a bite of chicken, then sent her to lay down in her bed. Then Kylie leaned over, just taking the bull by the horns, so to speak, and took a kiss.

Brittany moaned, one hand going up behind Kylie’s head to hold her there. Wine and green chile was a damn fine combination on Brittany’s lips.

They lingered, exploring slowly, tongues sliding against each other like they had all the time in the world.

This was the good stuff, and Kylie stayed close, letting their lips cling even as they came up for air.

“Is that dessert?” Brittany teased.

“It’s that or Oreos and Cool Whip.”
