“Daddy says we can stay in our jammies all day and watch movies.”

“I like that. Cookie decorating, too, maybe.” Gray stroked his back absently, he thought, just touching.

“Oh, that would be so fun. We have days and days to be the best family.”

“We do.” Gray was just beaming, looking so pleased.

“Good night, baby. Sleep well.”

“You, too, Daddy. Night.” She looked like an angel still, sound asleep.

They left her door partly open like she liked, then headed for the master, Gray holding his hand.

“You want me to turn on the fire, love?”

“I think that would be super neat.” Gray did a snazzy little dance move that had him chuckling.

He used the remote to click on the fireplace, and then he asked for some songs for slow dancing so he could move into Gray’s arms. “Hey, you.”

“Hey.” Gray waltzed him around the room. “I am glad you came home. It was an amazing night.”

“It was. We had fun, and we get to do it again and again and again.” He’d never looked forward to being snowed in more.

“We do. We have nowhere to be for days. I did all my shopping and everything.”

“Me too.” He had a pair of cross-country skis and a watch for Gray, while there was a bunch of crafty stuff, a ton of unicorn shit, and a tablet for his girl.

They had Christmas crackers, a roast beast feast, and all the nibbles and sweets they could ask for.

It was going to be amazing. At Thanksgiving, he’d had constant heartburn and a permanent headache, and by Yule, he had a lover, a plan, and he felt brand new.

He let Gray spin him, dip him, laughing for sheer joy.

“I can’t ever remember looking forward to Christmas so much.”

“Even though you had to take time out of your schedule to teach a little girl to make a Yule log?”

“Yeah. I made a dozen more Yule logs than I even thought I would.” That grin was so wry.

“You’re a good man. Next year, I’ll be there to help.” At the bakery. At home. Everywhere.

“I know. I just can’t even imagine how cool that will be.”

“We have a whole life to explore our options.” And he was so fucking grateful. He knew the gifts he’d been given here.

“I want that too. We have a lot of planning to do, huh? After the holidays.”

“After the holidays. Then we’ll start working on our goals. Together.”

“That sounds perfect.” Gray hummed, loving on him, lips on his neck.

“Uh—uh-huh.” His chin lifted and so did his cock.

“Mmm.” Gray danced him toward the bed. “Do you need a shower?”

“I’ll never turn down time in the water with you. Shower or tub?”

“Oh, hell, let’s soak.” They changed directions, and Gray called out to the speaker to play something slower. Hotter.
