“Tankless. I love it.” He slipped into the water, humming low in his chest as the hot water poured onto him.
“I read about those in Home and Garden.” Gray stepped right into his space, and they both stood in the spray, which was just amazing. The kiss they shared was slow and lazy, less about sex than about enjoying each other.
Leisurely. How about that?
“I like kissing you when you’re smiling,” Gray murmured.
“You make me happy, man. All the way.” He slid his hands down the full length of Gray’s back.
“Good. I know this is fast, but I just feel amazing around you.”
“Yes. Yes, exactly.” He leaned in, nibbling on Gray’s ear, careful, just gentle.
Gray hummed, turning into his touches, making these pleased noises. They were basking in the glow of their lovemaking, he thought.
“Should we go have a long breakfast somewhere? Something decadent with champagne?”
“Oh, that sounds amazing. I mean, if you have champagne, I can cook, but it’s always nice to eat something I didn’t make.” Gray gave him a watery, wry smile.
“I can see that. We can even run to Aspen. Get a crazy Benedict or some savory waffles or something.”
“There’s a crepe place in Basalt,” Gray said, grabbing the soap to get them all lathery. “Sweet, savory, mimosas and Bloody Marys.”
“Perfect. We’ll go down and eat before I pick up Liv.”
“I love it.” Gray rinsed him off. “I could just live in your shower. This is so cool. My plumbing is a little creaky.”
“Yeah? Where’s your place? I’d love to see it.”
“You know where they built all those condos at the end of old downtown Carbondale a few years ago? There’s that big gray three-story that’s split into apartments. I live there. Lots of character. Low amenities.”
As one, they turned off the water, and Gray grabbed them towels off the warming rack.
He wrapped the towel around Gray, smiling as Gray moaned with pleasure. “Good, huh?”
“Coffee on demand, steam, warm towels? You? Heaven.”
So sweet.
“And with bubbly in the immediate future.” He scrubbed his hair dry before starting with the rest of him.
“I like it. Well, I might have a Bloody Mary, but we’ll see if sweet or savory crepes tempt me.” Gray gave him an arch look. “You know that’s why I work out like a fiend, right?”
“Because you love good food? I totally understand. My gym’s in the basement.”
“You have a gym?” Gray chuckled. “Of course you do. God, this house.”
“Right? It’s stupid, but it was one of the most glorious gifts Dale gave me. This land, this house, all paid for so I could raise the…well, it was supposed to be kids. We wanted three.” He’d been happy to be Dale’s husband, the stay-at-home dad, the entertainer, and caretaker.
“Hey, that’s not stupid.” Gray took hand, squeezing. “I think it sounds grand.”
“It is. Seriously. It’s lovely.”
“Good deal.” He got another kiss before they both grabbed their coffee and headed to the bedroom. “Oh. My clothes are down in the dryer, huh?” They’d been smart enough to toss them in when they changed into robes.
“They are. Would you like to borrow a sweater? We’re close to being of a size.”
“Do you mind? That would be cozy.”
