My shoulders slump forward, sadness creeping in. "What if we never see each other again?"

Grey cups my face with his hand. "Hey, don't think like that, little killer. This is only temporary."

After everything that went down with Alexander, the police arrived as expected—accompanied by the investigation team. Turns out he knew they were planning on making an appearance that day and had decided to take matters into his own hands. He just didn't anticipate that Damon would get to me so quickly. See, he might have known Damon, but he wasn't prepared for one thing—our family. No one could prepare when the three of them banded together as a team or the lengths I would go to protect Damon. Because Alexander was incapable of love. Our selfishness for one another wassomething he couldn't foresee because he didn't have the ability to do the same.

Still… having the authorities walk in on two dead bodies and patients losing their minds didn't exactly help our cause. Even with the evidence they had managed to collate from the board's dodgy documentation and motives, it's hard to explain cold blooded murder.

Damon told all of us to cooperate and immediately instructed Byrone and Jillian to hand over the footage before Whittingham could have the chance to wipe it, wherever he was. They had managed to override the loop that was being fed and saved a copy to exonerate us of any wrongdoing. Alexander had made it quite clear what his intentions were and that they had planted Rian here. That, along with other previous footage should be enough to prove that Lilydale was nothing but a coverup.

The only problem is the video evidence of me burning down the lab and killing Rian. Police took my statement but until the investigation is complete and they have their official ruling, I'm looking at charges. Given everyone's mental health and the allegations of what we've endured, we've been granted a pardon from being held in prison until everything gets dealt with.

But Lilydale can't stay open.

Which means they are sending us to another facility to be held until they can figure out what to do next. The onlyinformation we have is that they need to split up the patients due to spacing issues.

And it's tearing me apart.

I just know in my gut that I'm going to be separated from them. I've already been given my departure time and it's different from theirs. The chances of Lilydale being reopened are slim and with me facing potential murder charges…I can't even say the words.

"We will sort it out," Theo comforts, giving my hand a squeeze. "It will be alright."

Turning around, I throw myself at Theo, wrapping my arms around his neck. He hugs me back, resting his chin on the top of my head.

"I can't say goodbye," I whisper into his chest.

"It's not goodbye," Damon answers from behind me. "Like Grey said, it's only temporary. We will figure it out."

I peer at him over my shoulder. "I love how confidently you say that."

He smiles at me. "If you think for one second it's not tearing us apart to be away from you… you're wrong, Avery. But I still mean every word. Wewillfind you. We will come for you."

"'Til death do us part?" I try to joke, voice cracking with unshed tears.

Damon steps in behind me, boxing me in between the pair of them. "And forever beyond that, wife."

"Come here," Grey coaxes, holding out his hand. "I know what you need." He's still wearing his black hoodie and I place my palm in his, letting him pull me toward the steel table in the center of the room.

Lifting me up by my waist, he plops me onto the cool metal, digging into his pocket.

I muffle a laugh as he pulls out his red Cirque des Morts mask and slides it onto my face.

My legs dangle off the side of the table as I stare at them through the darkened holes, thighs clenching together at the look of hunger that washes over their faces.

Grey drops to his knees in front of me, running his hands up my legs. "Lift," he orders when he reaches the waistband of my shorts.

I comply, holding myself up on the palms of my hands as he slides my shorts and underwear down my legs and lets them fall to the floor. Pushing my legs apart, he hums in approval as he takes in my exposed cunt, wasting no time as he lowers his head. His tongue darts out and drags a line up my slit, repeating it a few more times until I'm squirming on the examination table.

I try to hold myself up while leaning back, but I'm tense, worried about falling back too far and doing a backflip off the table. Damon rounds the table, standing behind me. His arms loop through mine, holding me securely against his chest as he leans me back allowing Grey better access.

"Fuck," I breathe out when the tip of his tongue finds my clit. He drags slow circles around it, and my breath hitches even more when Theo drops to his knees next to him and starts kissing up my thigh.

Spreading my legs as far as possible, my eyes roll back as the two of them eat my needy cunt in unison. A shadow crosses my face before the mask is tilted up, lips pressing into mine as I wrap one arm around Damon's head as he kisses me upside down.

Fingers tease my entrance, dipping in before vanishing, and circling. My hips buck as I desperately try to sink myself into them, but whoever is touching me pulls back. I'm completely distracted by Damon's mouth, his tongue massaging mine that between all the sensations overwhelming me, I crash straight into an orgasm without warning.

My cries are swallowed by Damon, body still working through my climax when I'm suddenly clenching someone's fingers. I break the kiss to glance down, lips swollen and tingling, and when I catch sight of Theo and Grey working me together, I immediately feel the start of another orgasm building.

Holy fuck.
