Jun’s lip lifted in a snarl. “I’m going to guess Bak is the one who told you I was missing.”
“We still have to go through the procedures.”
“Two minutes,” Jun snapped. “I’ll talk to you out in the hallway, alone, for two minutes. Bak can’t be there.”
Damian gave Jun a nod. If he wasn’t so angry, Jun wasn’t sure he could have let go of Damian’s hand and walked out into the hall.
Two of the police officers followed.
Jun spun around to face them. “So, what do I need to sign so you know I’m not missing officially?”
They ignored him, reaching for his arms. “Mr. Gang, you’re under arrest for destruction of company property.”
Episode 4
Jun
Jun pulled away from the police officers, stepping out of reach. They followed.
Fuck! Jun yelled toward the green room door. “Damian!”
It swung open as if Damian had been standing right behind it. The police officers stepped between Damian and Jun. A third appeared from the hallway.
One of the first two stepped directly up to Damian, signaling him to stop. “Sir, you’re interfering in police business.”
The new third officer grabbed Jun’s arm. Cold metal clasped around his wrist. He looked down. Cold silver metal was locked in place.
“His lawyer is right here,” Damian snarled. “Yun!”
The lawyer appeared at the door. There was yelling from both the hallway and the green room. Someone screamed. The officer holding Jun grabbed his other arm, jerking it behind his back. Damian was right there, holding him, but they were pulling him away. Jun’s feet twisted under him, trying to regain his balance. A different officer was standing so close and crowding him backward down the hall. Away from Damian. He couldn’t find his balance.
“Mr. Gang, you are resisting arrest,” the officer yelled in his face.
As if. Blood pulsed in Jun’s neck. “You’re pushing, and he’s dragging!”
The officer holding Jun’s bound hands pulled, yanking him around, pointing him face-first down the hall.
Double fuck. There was Bak. He stood at the end of the hall, holding open a door and waving the officers forward, flapping his hands like demented birds. “Hurry!”
“Mr. Gang, the more you struggle, the more charges you face.” It must have been one of the officers pushing him toward Bak, but it wasn’t like they were giving him a chance to look at them. There was so much noise behind. He tried to look back.
Damian was pushing to get past the officers. Jaewoong, Su-jin, Geun, and Yohei were all there as well.
Mr. Yun appeared at Jun’s side, ducking under Damian’s arm while the larger man distracted one of the officers. “Don’t resist,” Yun hissed. “We’ll find you.”
Bak let the door fall shut, rushing forward to chest block Yun, screaming at him to get lost.
“We’ll find you,” Yun yelled over Bak’s shoulders. Bak shoved him into a wall, throwing Yun’s glasses askew.
“You’ll find nothing!” Bak snarled. One of the police officers shot him a meaningful look. Bak snapped his mouth shut.
Jun's stomach flipped. He was trying to look over his shoulders, but he was still being pushed toward the door. One of the officers jogged forward to open it again. There were so many people pushing and shoving in the hallway behind him.
Jun lost Damian in the press of bodies. Four officers seemed to have become six or more. Yohei appeared at Jun’s side. Of course, he was the one who had slipped through the melee.
Yohei fell in step beside Jun, ignoring the police offer pushing Jun forward and yelling at Yohei to leave. Somewhere back in the hallways, Damian and Yun were demanding to see the warrant.
“Take it.” Jun lifted his neck, catching Yohei’s eye.
