“A gift.” Boogie said.

“That we are returning,” I said after him.

Lance came back into the room, took a plate from Ally and went to sit at the table looking from the table to the triplets warily.

“Look, we might have reacted badly,” I mumbled.

“Excuse me?” she asked loudly.

“We agree you need better security, and the Triplets are the best way to have it for now. They don’t have any contracts, and they are the best at what they do,” Boogie said, walking around the island.

“And what do they do?” she asked.

“They will protect you,” I said, resigning myself to the idea of leaving them here even after their weird display. “Maybe next time someone will think twice about laying a hand on you before they fucking touch you.”

Ally looked between Boogie and I with a raised brow.

“I’m waiting,” she said expectantly.

I didn’t want to say it because I wasn’t sorry for wanting to protect her.

“We reacted badly,” Boogie said softly. “We are happy it went well.”

“Next time, with them by your side, it will go even better,” I said, hoping she didn’t ask for an apology.

“Nope, say it,” she said with fire in her eyes. “You owe it to me for being assholes.”

I clenched my jaw as Boogie looked as if he had eaten something sour. Taking a deep breath, I mumbled, “Sorry.”

Boogie mumbled sorry too, but it looked like it physically hurt him.

Ally’s lip twitched. “That wasn’t so bad, was it?”

She grabbed me by my shirt, kissing me fiercely before doing the same to Boogie who pushed her up against the counter.

“Eat and then fuck,” she said, pushing him away.

“Fuck food,” he growled, picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder.

“Boogie, put me down, we?—”

He slapped her ass as I followed them out. I turned around.

“Behave,” I growled at the triplets.

They grinned like they were all so innocent as I rolled my eyes. I followed Boogie, ready to let off a little steam and spank our stubborn woman.

Chapter 7

Ally

Mornings sucked. I didn’t know how anyone could be a morning person. It was the worst time of the day and now that my nights had shifted into days, having to be up in the mornings was torture.

I turned around groaning as I pulled a pillow towards me and ended up hitting something firm. Ok, maybe all mornings weren’t bad; I ran my hand against the hard chest.

“I didn’t know you’d be here today,” I said, scooting closer, opening my eyes.

A set of honey brown eyes looked back at me, and I jerked back.
