She grins.
“I think I like the sound of that,” she tells me before getting on her toes and kissing the hell out of me.
Just perfect.

ONE MONTH LATER
Taylor makes a breathy noise and moves her hand along my shaft. Then she sinks to her knees. My dick twitches in excitement. She parts her lips and licks them. I can’t take my eyes off her mouth. The ache in my balls warns me that I will come really fast. She flicks her tongue over me before taking in all of my length. Then she’s sucking and licking and driving me out of my mind.
My orgasm looms. My hand tightens in her hair, trying to warn her that I’m about to come. She looks up at me, silentlyassenting. Her hand begins massaging my balls, and that’s all it takes for me to shoot, pouring my load into her mouth. She takes it all until I'm done. After which, she stands up and proceeds to the bathroom in my room.
I chuckle. She hates swallowing and only does it occasionally to make me happy.
“Thanks, baby,” I tell her when she climbs onto the bed beside me.
“We need to talk,” she states, making me freeze because those words never accompanied anything good.
“What’s wrong?” I ask.
Taylor sighs.
“Maverick. It’s been more than a month, and I need to get back to work. My boss is lenient, but I think I’ve used enough vacation time. You can come with me, and you still have a few more weeks before you need to return.”
I grin.
“That won’t be necessary.”
“What?”
“I’m moving to New York,” I announce.
It’s a decision that has been inevitable for a while, and I just needed a good enough reason to do it.
“But your job….”
“I’m going to quit. Remember when you thought I was hurt by something you said? You were right. You mentioned how I’ll always be in Aster Falls while you go on to New York. I have been having a lot of thoughts like that. My life was always about being a SEAL and making my family proud. I was getting sick and tired of it. I wanted more. I’ve had a successful career. I was captain of my unit, so I thought maybe, just maybe, I could finally quit. But I didn’t know what to do after, and I was scared I was betraying my family’s legacy.”
Taylor cups my cheek.
“You’re not. I’m sure your dad is proud of you, and I know he would want you to be happy.”
I smile.
“Adam told me I would know I was in love if I couldn’t imagine any future without you.”
“Wise words from my brother,” Taylor states, grinning.
Adam’s okay now. He and Lisa got back together and came to a consensus. He told me he would continue to be a SEAL until he got tired of it. Lisa said she would wait for him if he didn’t take too long. What she doesn’t know is that I’m going to quit. Adam won’t last more than a year without me. I’m sure they’ll be getting married really soon. I already told Adam about my decision, and my best friend is supportive. So is my mom. We’re all going to be okay.
I smile softly before I continue. “I thought about it a lot, and I think I’m going to start a business. A few team members have been talking about what to do when we leave the Navy. We think there’s a clear need for more qualified private sector options. I’ve been saving the majority of my salary for years now. Seems like I’ve got the time and skills to get it off the ground. New York sounds like the perfect business address. I know I can do anything as long as I have you by my side.”
Taylor beams.
“I guess what I’m trying to tell you is that I’m hopelessly and completely in love with you,” I confess.
“Well, I did just give you head so you would be insane not to,” she states.
