“Fine,” he says with a groan.
He stands up, subjecting me to the view of his magnificent cock. I almost change my mind and ask him to come back into bed. The smirk on his face tells me he knows exactly what I’m thinking about. I stick my tongue out and turn away while he finishes dressing up.
He leans down to give me one last earth-shattering kiss before walking out.
I don’t get up for at least half an hour after he leaves. I’m sprawled on my bed, thinking about the amazing sex and how much I want to do it again. I jump out of fright when there’s suddenly a knock on the door.
“Taylor?” my brother calls out.
I make sure my naked body is completely covered before calling for him to come in.
“What’s up?” I ask, trying not to act suspicious.
He raises something in his hand, and my eyes widen when I see it’s my shirt. Specifically, the one Maverick tossed to the side.
Oh shit.
“What was this doing in the hallway?”
I think hard and fast, trying to formulate a valid excuse.
“I was feeling hot and sleepy, and I must have taken it off as I walked into the room. Sorry,” I say, hoping he buys my lie.
He shrugs before throwing the piece of clothing at me, and it hits my face. I’m about to yell when I notice the sad look in his eyes.
“You okay, big bro?” I ask him.
“I’m good,” he replies, his expression anything but good.
Something’s bothering him, but I know he won’t tell me. Adam never comes to me for help, but I know he’s going to talk to his best friend. I just hope he’s okay.
“Really, you’ve got your worried face on.”
“I’m all right, Tay. Just a little tired, I guess.”
He’s lying, but I don’t call him out on it. Mostly because I feel like getting involved in a deep talk with him would lead to me spilling my guts out, and we can’t have that.
“Okay. If you don’t mind, I’d like to sleep some more. Close the door on your way out,” I tell him.
He nods before walking out and closing the door. I think back to what Maverick and I just did in this room, and my heart pounds. I can’t believe I slept with Maverick Kessler.

“What’s up, bro,” I say, coming up behind Adam and throwing an arm over his shoulder.
He pushes my hand off and gives me an uneasy smile.
“Hey.”
Something’s wrong. I’ve known Adam my whole life and I can tell when he isn’t all right.
“What’s wrong?” I ask
He frowns. “Am I really that transparent? And why are you so chipper?” he asks as I sit beside him.
