There was an unspoken connection between us, and we both wanted to explore it. Unlike the other women I’d been involved with, Aaliyah fascinated me from day one. She was beautiful, smart, and a part of my world—the criminal world. There wouldbe no hiding the kind of life I led from her, because she’d been a part of the same world since she was young, just like me.

Aaliyah was the total package and would make a wonderful Donna one day. There’d be no parting gifts as I’d done with every other woman I’d ever been with. I planned to marry this woman.

“Baby, you know I don’t want to keep you a secret,” she murmured into my neck, her nails digging into my shoulders, while I continued to rub circles on her clit. “I... I want us to tell our families today if that’s alright with you?”

“That’s all I want. You’re it for me,Bella. I want to share what we have with the world. I want everyone to know you’re the woman I fell in love with. The person I asked to be my wife. My Donna.”

I touched the platinum five carat princess cut engagement ring she hid on a silver chain around her neck, longing for her to wear it but understanding why she couldn’t.

We were getting married this year. We’d already picked a date and started making plans, but no one in our families knew, not even Alessandro, who was the only one who knew we were even together. No one knew in less than four months Aaliyah would be Mrs. Aaliyah Rizzo.

Having to wait pissed me off, but everyone would know, today. Including the Dons of the Scuderi, Cavallaro, Puglisi, and Vitale families. Would it cause a shit storm? Probably, but I would weather any storm to call this woman my wife.

I reclaimed her lips with everything in me. I dipped my finger into her drenched entrance before rubbing her clit until she released a muffled scream, her body trembling beneath my touch.

Aaliyah came into my life like a hurricane and disrupted everything I thought I knew about sex, women, and love. I believed I was doomed to have the same loveless life and arranged marriage as my parents for the sake of the Family. But Aaliyah showed me a different side of relationships and what was possible. She accepted me for who I was, and I accepted her for who she was—a technical genius who was adopted and raised by one of the most notorious criminal minds ever. Now going forward, we start our lives together as one.

“Are you happy?” Her small hands cradled my face. Her eyes filled with tenderness and passion I adored. “I just want to make you happy, Antonio. I know not being able to tell our families about our relationship has been difficult, but I just want everything to go smoothly when we do.”

I couldn’t stop the smile from appearing on my face. Smiling and laughing had become a regular occurrence with her. Before she came into my life, there was no reason to laugh or smile. Death and betrayal surrounded me daily, so those emotions I didn’t share with anyone, including my family. But because of her, my life had changed so much.

Things had changed for the better.

“You transformed my life the day I met you, Aaliyah. You’ve made me the happiest man in the world. I couldn’t imagine my life without you.” I rested my forehead against hers, inhaling her scent of jasmine, rose, and amber. A sense of peace blanketed me. She would always be my peace.

“I love you. Forever and always.”

“I love you too, Antonio. Forever and always.”

“Now, I think you should head back to my sister before I defile you further in the house of the Lord.”

Her gentle laughter filled the small room located off from the church foyer. “I can’t believe, I let you do that here of all places.”

“You couldn’t help yourself.” I licked my finger enjoying the salty taste of her cum. “I’m irresistible.”

She gave me a final peck on the lips, then used her thumb to wipe across them. “That you are.”

The love reflected in her eyes confirmed I made the right decision to ask the woman I loved to marry me. She was my peace, my home, and soon she’d be their Donna.

No matter the repercussions, Aaliyah is my life and soon she will become my wife.

I never thought I would enjoy a wedding, but my big sister’s wedding was beautiful, and I was thrilled for her. She looked like an angel walking down the aisle with my father. I was proud of the woman Chantal had become. Growing up without her mom and our dad, was rough although he tried to be in her life as best he could. Despite it all, Chantal was happy, and that was all that mattered.

I smiled when she pulled her husband out on the dance floor. Razor had his issues. Shit we all did, but I never doubted his love for my sister. And while I would protect her always when I wasn’t around, I trusted him to keep her safe.

The large ballroom where the reception was being held was packed with wedding guests drinking, laughing, and dancing. Celebrating the new couple. I searched the throngs of people for the woman who captured my heart. The speeches were done, the first dance was over, and my father had held his only daughter in his arms. Now it was time for me and my future wife to make an announcement of our own.

“It’s time,” I whispered over to Alessandro. His smile brightened. “I’m introducing Aaliyah to Papa.”

“It’s about damn time big bro.” He slapped me on the shoulder. “Papa will give his blessing. Don’t worry about him, mama is the one who’s going to cause problems. Like always.”

“What she thinks doesn’t matter to me anymore.” I shrugged. “She’ll have no other choice but to accept it.”

“And if she doesn’t?” he asked. “You know how vindictive she can be.”

“To hell with her. I’ll deal with her if it comes to that. Aaliyah will be my wife. What she thinks doesn’t matter to me.”
