“I don’t know who you are,” he said, ignoring my comment about his wife. “But I’m a Federal Agent and if you don’t get the hell out of here, we’re going to have problems.”
“Of course, you know who I am Agent, and I don’t give a fuck because you already have a big fucking problem. And it’s me.”
“Is that a threat?” he asked, putting his hand on the butt of the gun.
“I don’t make threats, Agent. But I’m sure you know that by now.”
“Alan!” his wife called from the front door. “Is everything alright?”
He cautiously moved back, his hand slowly releasing its grip on the gun. He looked over his shoulder. “Yeah, honey! Everything’s fine. Go back inside the house.”
She looked at me, then back at him. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah babe. He just needed some directions.”
Although she didn’t appear convinced, she reluctantly nodded and retreated inside, shutting the door behind her. I was pretty sure she’d peek out the curtains to make sure nothing happened between us. Luck was on her side today and his. He was safe for now.
“Yeah, I think I’d remember a piece of ass like her.” I adjusted my dick causing him to glare at me. “So, I know I didn’t fuck her. So, what’s your issue with me, Revels?”
“I suggest you get out of here, MacDaniel before this doesn’t end so well for you.”
As I lifted my brow, he let out a sigh of frustration, realizing his mistake. So, he knew I had changed my name from MacDaniel to Stevens, taking my mother’s name instead of my father’s. Which meant he had information only a few people had, like me beingconnected to the Sinners. Looks like all roads led back to Las Vegas and the Sinners.
Fuck!
I chuckled and got back on my bike and put up the kickstand. “The next time you see me Revels, I’m going to kill you. That’s not a threat. That’s a promise. I’ll be seeing you real soon.”
I started my Harley and revved the engine. I held my hand up to him like I was holding a gun and then pulled the trigger before speeding away. The next time I saw Agent Revels, he’d be the next one to die on my revenge tour.
HAVE YOU HEARD FROM HIM?
Rebel Pierce
I paced the living room at the clubhouse, while everyone looked at me like I was crazy, or like I was about to lose it. The guys didn’t know why I was so upset J.D. wasn’t here and the women who frequented the place couldn’t care less. They just didn’t understand why I was still at the clubhouse and wanted to know more about our relationship.
He had slipped out of bed this morning before the sun had even come up. I was scared he was doing something foolish because what other reason would he have to leave the clubhouse without anyone knowing where he was going.
We came back to the clubhouse instead of staying at his home. Even though we fucked until we couldn’t anymore, I still didn’t feel comfortable having sex with him in their bedroom and I think he knew it. So, I was grateful when he mentioned us staying at the clubhouse.
J.D. decided that what we had learned from Dani’s journal needed to be kept between us. He didn’t even want to let Caesar in on the new information we had. I didn’t question him when he asked me to keep it between us, but I should have. He wanted to confront Agent Revels on his own which wasn’t a good idea because I didn’t know if J.D. could control his anger. I hoped that wasn’t but why would he sneak out?
“Have you heard from him?” I asked Caesar again.
I didn’t know how many times I’d asked him since I went looking for J.D. this morning when I woke up in bed alone. But each time I asked I hoped Caesar would have a different answer.
He shook his head. “No. His phone is going straight to voicemail.”
“Shit!”
This was not good.
“What’s going on Rebel?” Caesar asked with his brow arched. “If he’s in trouble, I need to know so I can help him.”
I stopped pacing. “I don’t know if he’s in trouble or not, Caesar.”
“But you’re acting like he is,” Rumi said.
It was the first time she’d said anything since I went to find Caesar. I didn’t ask her what she was doing sneaking out of his room this morning. But I would definitely get to that later once I found out if J.D. was okay.
