“Where are you going?” Caesar looked at his watch, as I stood up from my desk. “It’s still early.”

“I’m going home. See you in the morning.”

DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT?

Rebel Pierce

I was having one of those days where it felt like the other shoe was about to drop. I didn’t know what it was or when it would happen, but I believed my happy world was getting ready to be taken over by a storm.

Della had informed J.D. a few weeks ago that the FBI had credible information that Agent Revels had left the country with his wife so the scrutiny on him and the club for the disappearance of the agent was no longer a factor. Unsure of my godfather’s involvement, I still felt grateful that we could put the issue behind us. Revels now faced charges for trying to murder me.

“I can hear you thinking.” He pulled me closer to his warm body. “What’s wrong?”

Whenever possible, J.D. had been spending the night at my place, and waking up in his arms had been blissful. It was definitely something I could get used to.

“You ever had that feeling something’s going to go wrong?”

He kissed the back of my neck, causing me to shiver. “All the fucking time,” he said, chuckling. “Shit never goes the way you plan, so you just have to roll with what life throws at you.”

I turned over and faced him then rested my forehead against his, so our noses touched.

“What are you really worried about?” he asked, then gave me a peck on the lips.

“That all this is a dream.”

After all the challenges we had faced, everything seemed to be perfect. I got to spend time with him, and Siobhan and it was like my world was complete. But like he said, shit never went the way you plan. I was tired of life throwing curve balls at me. I just wanted to be happy with him and Siobhan.

“It’s not a dream, baby. And whatever happens we’ll get through it as long as we do it together.”

When I wove our fingers together, my eyes widened as I realized he had removed his wedding band.

A warm smile spread across his face. “It was time. This is a new start for us. No more looking to the past.”

Even though we had that moment at the cemetery, I could feel the weight of his wedding band being removed, signifying his commitment to our relationship.

When he flipped us, I couldn’t help but burst into laughter, feeling my weight shift as I landed on my back. He nestled himself between my legs.

“Everything’s going to fine. You worry to fucking much,” he said.

I couldn’t help but worry when it came to us. I was so happy, and I wanted to protect the beautiful bubble of bliss we had built for ourselves.

As he leaned forward, his warm breath tickled my lips, making me part them for him. As he deepened the kiss, a low moanescaped from my lips, while he pressed his arousal against me. Then he pulled away, slid my panties down my legs then shimmed out of his briefs. He didn’t waste any time before he slammed into me.

“J.D.!”

“Fuck, baby,” he groaned. “You feel so fucking good.”

There was nothing delicate or precise about his thrusts—they were raw and unrelenting. And I loved every bit of it. He showed me no mercy, and I didn’t show him any either as my nails scored his back eliciting a hiss from him each time. However, it didn’t deter his movements.

As he tightened his grip around my throat, his forceful thrusts intensified. The pleasure and pain intertwined, creating a sensation that defied explanation. I couldn’t catch my breath, but at this point, I didn’t give a damn. My desire was to reach that peak, and he pushed me harder and harder towards it. We’d been fucking on and off all night long and this time was like the first time all over again.

“That’s it, sweetheart. I can feel how close you are. That tight cunt of yours feels so good around my cock.”

“Oh God.”

“Not God, baby. But damn close. Come for me.”

He pulled out of me then slammed back inside me.
