Fergus turned his attention to me, his laughter filling the air. “And your bitch wouldn’t fall in line,” he said, smiling. “So, the plan changed from you going to prison to her dying. One way oranother you had to pay. Nobody leaves me. Not you! Not your bitch of a mother! Nobody!”

“Where did you bury her Fergus?” Grimm asked because I was still in shock.

This motherfucker not only killed my wife and son, but my mother too. All these fucking years full of heartache and pain was all because of him.

With a casual gesture, he shrugged. “I’m not saying.”

I pulled my gun, aimed, then squeezed the trigger, hitting him in the right knee. He screamed, but I didn’t care.

“Where’s my mother?” I asked. “If you tell me, I’ll kill you without making you suffer like you made them suffer.”

I was tired of playing with this motherfucker. I wanted answers then I wanted him dead.

He looked up at me with hate in his eyes. “She’s in the desert where all the other bodies are.”

“How do we know which one?” Grimm asked.

“It’s marked with a stone and a small bush.”

Grimm faced his brothers with a determined expression on his face. “All in favor of Fergus’s death, speak now or forever hold your peace.”

A round of I’s sounded which caused Fergus’s eyes to widen.

“All in favor of Fergus’s freedom, speak now or forever hold your peace,” Grimm said.

Dead silence.

“You can’t kill me! I’m a Sinner!”

As Fergus struggled, Grimm skillfully cut the Sinners patch from his cut, the sound of tearing fabric filling the air. “You’re sentenced to death, Fergus MacDaniel,” Grimm announced, his voice filled with anger.

I walked up and placed the gun to his head.

“My brother will kill you for this!”

Grimm let out a low chuckle. “Angus gave his blessing.”

“No, my brother wouldn’t do that! He wouldn’t!”

There was no use in trying to persuade him that Angus agreed. My gaze locked with my father’s, and I could see the intensity in his eyes. I knew deep down that it would be the last glimpse I’d ever have of him. And I absolutely felt nothing but hate. Hate for all that he had taken from me.

“This is for my mother, my son, and my wife. See you in Hell motherfucker,” I said, then squeezed the trigger.

Refusing to give my sperm donor any more of my time, I turned away from him and redirected my focus towards my cousin.

“I’ll help you bring her home,” Grimm said without me even having to say a word. “Let me get this handled then we can head out.”

CLOSURE

I want to fucking burn the world down. What the hell kind of parent would do that to their kid? I can’t wrap my head around the fact that my fucking mother who I loved didn’t leave me. He killed her. The man that was supposed to love me unconditionally and take care of me has tried to destroy every aspect of my life because my mother and I tried to leave him. He was selfish and toxic. Nobody deserved the treatment we got.

I dragged my hand across my face, trying to wipe away the exhaustion and frustration. So much pain. So much death all because one bitter man.

We took three cages to where Grimm believed my mother’s body was just in case we could find her. He cautioned me, saying there was a strong chance we wouldn’t locate her, so I shouldn’t get my hopes up. And we couldn’t actually depend on Fergustelling us the truth. It could have been one last final fuck you to me. But I had to hope that at least this time he told me the truth.
