I grip the paper and look at her, confused. I don't quite understand what she is telling me. "What the hell is this?"
She paces back and forth then stops and looks at me. "The damn note she left before she hauled ass out here to get away from you! What the hell did you do, Austin?"
I shake my head, rub my temples. "I have no clue, Dani! I didn't even realize she was at the bar."
She points at the note that I have gripped in my hand. "Well, read that shit, Austin! It specifically says you lied to her!"
Tears well up in my eyes as the realization hits me that she left because of me. I look at my sister. "Dani, I swear on my life I don't know what the hell is going on. I wouldn't purposefully hurt her."
"Then why has she been fucking crying over your stupid ass the past few weeks, and now she's gone!"
"I swear on my life, Austin, if anything happens to her, I’ll never forgive you."
"I’ll never forgive myself, Dani." I sit down on the couch with my head cradled in my hands. "She hasn't been gone too long."
"I can't tell you how long she's been gone. I just woke up and found that shit on the floor by the door." She points at the crumpled piece of paper I'm holding, then she sits down beside me. "What the hell happened at the bar?"
I close my eyes and lay my head back on the couch. "Natalia came by and I had to throw her ass out. And the Feds showed up."
"What the hell do you mean you had to throw Natalia out?" she asks. "What the hell was she even doing there?"
"She showed up at the bar, and someone let her up into my office. I can't believe that bitch kissed me and then had the nerve to threaten Kira."
Pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration, Dani glares at me in disbelief. "You kissed her? Was Kira there?"
Sitting there in silence for a few minutes, it dawns on me.
Damn it! She couldn't have seen that.
"Call her now, Dani.”
"I've tried, Austin! She said she will call me as soon as she gets settled."
"This can't be happening. I got the Feds breathing down my neck, that crazy ass Adrian is trying to start shit, putting us all in danger, and now my girlfriend has up and left over some bullshit."
"That damn kiss was her last straw. She might not come back."
"Don't say shit like that. There is nothing going on with Natalia and me. She knows that. I can fix this."
Whispering, Dani looks into my eyes. "I told you."
"You told me what?! Not to fall in love with the girl of my damn dreams? My future wife?"
"I told both of you to stay away from each other, and now look at this shit! This is your fault. What were you thinking of, kissing that bitch?"
"She kissed me, and I pushed her way.”
"Whatever, Austin. If you pushed her away Kira wouldn't have left, you prick! You are lucky you’re my blood because if you weren't, I would kill you! And when I see that bitch, that ass is mine!"
"Stay away from her. Let me handle this shit."
The sound of my phone ringing makes both Dani and I jump in anticipation.Shit, let this be her. Please let this be her.
"Is that her?" Dani asks.
I peer down at my phone, hoping and praying it is, but to my disappointment, it isn't. I shake my head and answer the call. I pinch the bridge of my nose in frustration.
"Razor, what's up?"
