"Sounds like a plan to me," Razor says as Larry agrees.

"All right, fellas let's put it to a vote...all in favor of the plan of taking Adrian out? All right, raise your hand if you don't want to go through with this plan? Okay, we meet tomorrow and figure out how the hell we do this shit."

Razor places a hand on my shoulder as we head out. "We need to leave and figure out how you can straighten this shit out with Kira."

"I'm heading out. Make sure you lock this shit up!" I yell as I walk towards the exit.

I got to get my shit together before I lose the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I walk into the bar and we’re greeted by the smell of cheap perfume, cigarettes, and alcohol. I look around, but I don't see Kira.

"Hey Darcy, we’re gonna be upstairs in the office. If anything pops off, let Mike handle it. Have you seen Kira?"

"I think Tiny took her home because she said she wasn't feeling too good," the new prospect, Dakota says.

Nodding my head, I pull out my phone and dial Kira to check up on her as we enter the office.

"Hello?" Her soft voice is like music to my ears and softens my heart immediately as concern takes over.

"Sweetheart, are you all right? Dakota says you’re not feeling too good."

"Don't worry, I'm all right. I just think I need to rest." Then sounds of her sniffles fill the silence and my heart aches.

"Kira, baby are you crying?" I lean back in the chair and close my eyes while the pain of knowing I hurt her bubbles up in my chest.

"Austin, I'm fine, babe. Don't worry. I just need some sleep. Don't you have work?"

"Yeah sweetheart, but you're not feeling well. I’ll be there in a few minutes."

The sound of her sniffles again echoes in my head. "No Austin, seriously, I'm just a little tired, and my emotions are everywhere. J.D. just left to go home, so Dani's here. She will take care of me if I need anything."

"All right, sweetheart, I’ll stay at work, but I’ll be home early so I can take care of you."

"Okay, baby," she whispers.

"Kira, I love you, sweetheart." Her breath hitches, and it sounds like she's trying not to cry.

"I love you too, Austin."

"Baby, please don't cry," I plead with her. "I can't take hearing that."

"I'm sorry, baby. I'm just exhausted. You do what you need to do at work."

I run my hands down my face in frustration but try to keep my voice calm for her. "All right, sweetheart, I’ll make things quick here and bring you something home to eat. You rest, and I’ll see you in a few."

"All right, Austin. I love you, bye."

"Love you too." When she ends the call, I toss my phone down on the desk.

Razor looks at me, placing his elbows on his knees. "I told you. You got to fix this shit."

I lower my head in my hands and shake my head. "Dude, she was crying. I made her fucking cry. Raz, what do I do man?"

"You do what you have to do so she knows you ain't bullshitting her when you say you love her. Your words don't mean shit if you don't show her."

"I fucked up, didn't I?" I shake my head as the realization hits me. I fucked up, bad.

"Oh, you fucked up royally, but you can fix it. That girl is head over heels in love with your worthless ass so it can be fixed. I'm going to head on out. I need some chow then I'm going to take my ass to the house. Meet you at the warehouse tomorrow so we can work this Natalia shit out and Adrian."
