I make it to the bar, park and let out a deep sigh. This place just isn't the same without Kira being here. My life just isn't the same. I look over the past few weeks, and I can see how she started pulling away from me, and it's all my fault.
I just have so much on my mind and being worried about her and this life, I took it all out on her and now she's gone. I've got to find her, so I can explain. I got to fix this shit. Running my hand down my face in frustration and lost in my thoughts, forgetting about my surroundings, I don’t realize footsteps are approaching me until it is too late.
"Demon," a voice calls out from behind me that I don't recognize. I slowly place my hand on my gun located in the front of my waistband. Getting off my bike, I turn around to see a young guy standing a few feet away.
Without warning, he pulls a gun and begins firing. At the same time, I retrieve mine and return fire. I'm able to get a few shots off before I feel my skin starting to burn and I fall to the ground. As the pain radiates through my body and my breaths become shallow, the sound of Razor barking out orders fills my ears.
I see Razor running over to me and I feel him place his hands on my chest. "Call a fucking ambulance! D, man stay with me. The ambulance is coming. Just breathe, man."
"Tell her...I..I...love her," I manage to voice as the stinging and pain become unbearable.
"Fuck that motherfucker! You tell her your damn self! Demon, man, hold the fuck on. Where the fuck is the ambulance?"
"Tell her I'm so sor...sorry," I croak out as I start to cough up blood and the slowing sounds of my heartbeat fill my ears.
"I hear ya man, but you can do that shit yourself." The sounds of the sirens in the distance are the last thing I remember before the cold and darkness take over.

I've beenin Toronto for a few days now, staying at a hotel until I can find something a little more permanent. I love it here. The atmosphere is lively, and the people are friendly, but I'm missing a big part of my life—my family in Georgia and most of all, Austin.
Sighing, I pull out my phone and see that I have a few more messages from Austin as a tear rolls down my cheeks. It's getting harder not to answer when he calls or sends a text, but I've got to be strong. I can't let him run over me as Avery did.
I wipe my tears away and continue to search through apartment ads on the internet. While searching, I receive a call from Dani and I send it to voicemail. Not even a minute later, another call comes through, this time from Razor. I decide to send it to voicemail as well. Immediately, I receive a text from Razor that says,SOS it's Austin. Leaning my head on back on the headboard, I close my eyes and debate whether I should call.
It may be a trick to get me on the phone, but it could be important.
I take a deep breath and redial Razor. On the first ring, he picks up.
"Where the hell are you, Kira?!" he frantically yells.
“Razor, calm down. Why are you yelling at me? What's wrong?"
With panic in his voice, he sighs. "How quick can you be here?"
"Tell me what the hell is wrong, Razor! What happened?"
"He's hurt. You need to hurry. It’s bad."
"I'll catch the next flight out." At the news, tears begin to fall down my face, and guilt starts to take over. I left him because of what I thought I saw, before even talking to him. Because of Avery.
"Just get here as soon as you can. I’ll have Tiny pick you up at the airport." He ends the call without a response from me.
I call Dani next to see if I can find out what happened. She picks up on the first ring. I hear the panic in her voice.
“Oh my God, Kira, he’s…he’s—”
"Sis, I'm catching the first flight back. Tell him I'm coming home." While wiping my tears, I stand up and start the process of packing.
"I'm headed to the hospital now, and I’ll tell him. Get here quick."
"I'm booking my flight now. Tell him I love him and I'm on the way." I end the call, book my flight, and finish packing my bags. I take the elevator, check out, and hail a cab to the airport as quick as I can. Thank God, I was able to book a flight so quickly. I'm praying that I make it to the hospital in time.
I check my bags and make it through security with ease. I make it with little time to spare. I pull out my phone and redial Razor, and he picks up on the first ring.
"Kira, you need to get here now." His voice cracks, causing the tears to fall again as I hear the desperation in his voice.
