Giana heard the door reopen, and the woman slammed the box back on the shelf. Slapping a hand over her mouth to control her giggles, Giana rejoined Koa. He smacked her bottom smartly while the woman was distracted.
“Hey!”
“You are being bad, little girl.”
“She deserved every bit of that.” Giana projected her voice louder and back toward the flirtatious female. “I didn’t tell her about the huge smudge of mascara under her eye.”
Out of the corner of her vision, Giana saw the woman pull her sunglasses down from their perch on her head to shield her eyes. Giana couldn’t help smirking when she stomped away.
“Hey!” Giana protested when her daddy swatted her one more time. “She deserved all of that.”
“She might have, but you don’t need to worry about anyone else,” Koa assured her. “I’ve found my little girl and I won’t risk losing you.”
“Sorry, Daddy. I should have ignored her.”
“Let’s go choose some ice cream for the party. They’re going to wonder where we are.”
“Cookies and cream is my favorite. Pippa likes vanilla and chocolate, so she’ll love that flavor. Can we get chocolate with chocolate chips for Aspen? She’s like an over-the-top chocolate fanatic.”
“Sounds like a great plan. I like cookies and cream, too.”
“Of course you do, Daddy. We’re soulmates.”
Koa nodded and hugged her close to his side. “We are, Flame. And very lucky.”
Giana pressed a kiss to his shoulder as they stopped to grab the ice cream. She wished time would freeze. She’d never been this happy before. Crossing her fingers at her side, Giana hoped with everything inside her that nothing would ruin this. She’d never survive losing Koa.
“Whatever that thought was, get rid of it,” Koa ordered firmly.
When she glanced up at him in surprise, he squeezed her close again. “Let’s go join our friends.”
“I’d like that.”
In a few minutes, Koa pulled into an already packed driveway. Giana reached for the door handle, eager to go see her friends. Koa’s powerful hand clamped over her thigh, stopping her.
“Daddy will open your door, little girl.”
“But I have hands. I’ve opened my door a billion times.”
“Not when you’re with your daddy. You will wait for me to help you out.”
She stared at him in exasperation. “Fine.”
“Improve that attitude or I’ll borrow Caden’s guest room to wipe your grumpiness away,” Koa warned.
“What? How would you do that?”
“By turning my sullen little girl over my knee and turning her bottom right red.”
Giana stared at him, snapping her jaw closed when she realized it gaped open. “You’d spank me here?”
“Yes.”
His tone didn’t contain a maybe. She looked down the driveway at Caden’s house. Koa had shared they were all daddies. The other two women had shared that they were little.Did that mean that at any of their houses, Koa’s dominance would be in full force?
She refocused on Koa. “You’re my daddy with them?”
“I’m your daddy at all times, but yes, we can be ourselves here without judgment.”
