They fly open at Corentin’s command. His smile is so bright, it calls to my gift. My light wants to burst through my skin and wrap around him.
“Couldn’t imagine looking anywhere else, your highness.”
His features turn devastating as they heat.
It’s crazy for me to look at him now and think about how he used to keep that mask of his in place. He kept the many sides of himself away from me.
I’d never allow it now.
He is mine. All mine. Masks and all.
He hums approvingly as my eyes flash violet then back. My dragon just needed to put her agreement in there for a moment. He’s too observant of me and everything I do to have missed it, though.
“What’s got you so possessive, baby?”
“Just thinking about how you used to hide yourself from me and how I’d never deal with it now. You’re mine as are all the many masks you must wear.”
He tilts my chin up until my neck is craned back to where I see nothing but him. Only him.“Those are the truest words ever spoken. I am yours. All yours.”
He lays a soft kiss to my lips. Much like the first one he ever gave me.
It’s so gentle yet commanding.
When he pulls away, no more words pass between the two of us as he glides me across the floor like we’re dancing with the wind. His moves are precise, controlled, but flow freely like we’ve been doing this together for years not days.
The warm touch of his gift beneath his fingertips keeps my own right on the surface. It’s waiting on his command to be set free.
As the music begins to change once again, he lays his hand to my heart, forcing the heat of his light to flood my body completely.
He joins the others in their circle, and I squirm, waiting to see which of my two left it will be.
I gasp as darkness descends on the light burning through me. The chill spreads through my blood and creates its own sensation.
All my senses come to life.
“Naughty little Primary.”
Blinking my lids open, they collide with whiskey that burns down to my belly.“I haven’t been naughty at all.”
Cas shakes his head as he spins me around. When he pulls me back into his arms, my lips part at the look on his face.
It’s dark and delicious.
“The darkness I see isn’t always a bad thing. At least not anymore. If you don’t believe I can’t see those little dark desires running through your mind, you’re mistaken.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Lies.
“You want me to spell it out for you. Is that it, Primary?”
“Yes.”
That’s exactly what I want him to do. Why? Because he makes me feel like it’s okay to want things I’ve never wanted before. He makes it safe for me to explore things. He knows exactly how far to push me in any situation.
So yeah. I want him to spell it out for me now so I know it’s okay I have a craving for something I’ve never tried nor realized I might like until recently.
Like today recently.
