“I’ll be here to help you,” he says, his fingers moving faster as my core clenches around him. “And you know that our family will be around to help us too. You’ve got this, Hannah. If anyone can do it, it’s got to be you.”

My back arches off the seat as he presses his thumb against the bundle of nerves. Holden captures my mouth in a searing kiss as my orgasm crashes through me.

“I need you,” I say as he pulls out of me and sits back. I slide my panties down my legs, tossing them on one of the other seats.

He chuckles and raises an eyebrow. “A little eager, are we? I’d be happy to distract you from everything going on in that incredible mind of yours.”

“Yes, please,” I say, breathless as I kneel on the seat beside him.

Holden pulls down the zipper of his black slacks and pulls out his hardened length. I watch, the ache between my thighs growing as he strokes himself. I watch his thumb pass over the head before he reaches over and sinks his hand into my hair.

He uses his grip on my hair to guide me over to straddle his lap. I run my hands over his shoulders as I hover above him, rolling my hips to grind my core against his erection.

“Hurry up, Hannah, we’re running out of time before we get to the bookstore.” He grins and pulls me down to kiss me.

I lower down onto his hardened length, groaning as he fills me. As I roll my hips, his tongue delves into my mouth, tangling together with mine. He groans as I rock my hips back and forth, building the tension between us quickly.

“Yes, Hannah, just like that,” he says, his voice raspy as he kisses his way down my neck.

I arch my back, changing the angle and taking him deeper. His hands move to grip my hips while he thrusts upward. I moan as I hold onto him, trying to keep my balance as my legs start to shake.

Holden runs his hands up and down my thighs beneath my dress before he starts to toy with the bud between my legs. My hips jerk as he teases me, chuckling against my skin as he sucks on my neck.

“Do you want to come for me?” He stops moving the fingers between my legs, his thrusts turning slow and lazy.

“Yes. Please. I want to come for you.”

He grins and moves his fingers faster, circling the bud faster as I roll my hips and take him deeper. My inner walls clench around his throbbing length. All it takes is his teeth grazing against my collarbone to send me over the edge.

My orgasm rushes through me, my entire body shaking as he finishes with me. I slump against him, all of the stress gone from my body. Holden runs his hands up and down my back before opening one of the compartments and pulling out a tissue.

“We should be at the bookstore soon,” he says with a wicked grin. “Unless you want to go in there with evidence of what we were just doing, we should both get cleaned up.”

My cheeks are on fire as I take the tissues from him. “You’re going to pay for this later.”

He laughs and leans in to kiss me again. “It kept you distracted until we got here. I would say that I’m just doing my job.”

I smile and shrug. “You might be able to do your job again later tonight, if you’re lucky.”

The limo starts to slow before pulling over completely. I finish cleaning up before taking a deep breath. The door to the limo opens and dozens of smiling faces stare back at me.

This is it, Hannah. This is the moment you’ve always loved most.

And now, I have someone else to share the special moments in my life with.

“You did great back there,” Holden says, his arm tucked tightly around my waist as he leads me away. I reach up to try and pull the blindfold off for the millionth time since he put it on, but he swats my hands away. “I told you that I had a surprise for you after your book signing. Why do you insist on ruining it?”

“Because I want to know what we’re doing.”

The sound of soft music playing fills the air as a door squeaks open. The change in temperature tells me that we’ve entered a building. The scent of beer and bar food wafts around the room.

“I’m taking you back to the place where it all began for us,” he whispers in my ear as he whips off the blindfold. “I love you, Hannah.”

“I love you too,” I say, grinning as I take in the bar. Nothing has changed much since I was last there, except this time, I’m not feeling sorry for myself, and our friends and family are here waiting for us.

The vintage posters still hang framed on the wall, but there are more of them now. The lighting is still dim and low, but the furniture has been polished and refinished.

It’s just like us, getting new life breathed into us after years of struggling and trying to find our way.
