“Of course. How do you want him? Showered? Cleaned out? Lubed and plugged? I was going to keep working on his nipples.”

“No need for a full shower unless you think he needs it. Wiped down is fine. Lubed but empty, please, and if you could make him hard and tie his cock and balls for me?”

“Done.” Émeric leaned over Collin and kissed Richard.

“Petting, now, please?” Collin whispered.

Both his doms immediately looked down at him. “Kitten?”

“I don’t want you to stop talking like this and doing things, but I’m mortified; I love you two doing that thing where you talk like I don’t have a say, but touch would be good now, please?”

Evidently such a plea could only be answered by being covered and stroked and kissed by two affectionate men. Collin was not complaining.

Alice came to The Residency for waffles, delivered, as no one had time to cook before she was scheduled to arrive. Mr. Reevesworth greeted her and excused himself to his office with his food. Damian was still asleep, and Mr. Moreau had left to get his morning workout in, which gave Collin and Alice the kitchen to themselves. They made up plates, poured themselves coffee, and adjourned to the guest bedroom where Collin had put a tablecloth over the table by the window, giving them privacy and a gorgeous view of the city.

“It’s amazing.” Alice stared out over the metropolis. “I’ve pinched myself at least five times to make sure this is real.”

“The view?”

“The whole trip. Last night was lovely. I’m glad you didn’t mind that Ash and I went for the sleepover.”

“How late did you stay up?”

“I think two a.m. Ash and Ellisandre were still talking when I conked out. Linda fell asleep first. Maribel is awesome. If I were going to dognap, I’d dognap her.”

“Please don’t.”

Alice giggled. “Of course, I won’t. She’s happy, and Ellisandre and Linda adore her.”

They ate for a few minutes, Alice continuing to thoughtfully stare at the city. It had to be one of the very few moments they’d had alone, peacefully, in a long time. Maybe years. Her face had changed. She looked like an adult now. A young adult but an adult. Not the girl he’d helped raise while their mother was in and out of the hospital and fighting to stay in graduate school.

“Ash should live with someone,” she said out of the blue.

“He probably should.”

“I told him to find someone. He said okay.”

“You think he’ll do it, then?”

She shrugged. “I think he’ll try. And that’s as much as anyone should ask of someone else.” She smiled and licked whipped cream off her spoon. “Damn, this food is good. You all are making me up my standards.”

“You’re telling me. Émeric has been teaching me about spices and homemade ice cream.”

“So, it’s Émeric now?” Alice raised her eyebrows.

Collin blushed. “Sometimes.”

She laughed, a free, happy sound. “Love looks good on you, bro. You’re making me rethink my own life.”

“How so?”

“I think I want to leave my school. I picked it because Mom liked it and it was close, but…” she shrugged. “It’s more same, same, same. And it’s small. Too many kids from high school. I just want space. Something new. I don’t know. I’m still thinking about it. I’ll finish the year. It’s kind of late to transfer this year, to most places at least. I don’t want to rush. I just… I’m not sure what I want, but I don’t think it’s what I’m doing. Well, except that one class. And some of my volunteer work. I actually like my part-time job.”

“Think it over.” Collin shrugged. “Life is short.”

“Yeah. I know.” Alice speared a bit of waffle and dragged it through the strawberry topping. “Do you—do you ever think Mikhail is coming back?”

“I don’t know.”
