“This is your estate, Judah?” She questioned as she looked around, like she hadn’t been living on a compound just as big, if not bigger than this.
“Yeah, Shorty. Why?” I questioned.
“Because I know that you are in the Mafia. I guess I just didn’t know that it was this…” She said as she waved her hands in the direction of my home.
“Nah, Shorty. I’m not just the Mafia; I’m a national elite. This is light work.” I admitted before the truck silenced, and the other one trailing us slowed to a stop as well.
“Come on,” I said as she stood frozen in place. Like I wasn’t who the fuck I said I was. I chuckled at her reaction.
I didn’t have live-in maids or chefs like my brothers, because it was just me. The only team that I had was my security team. They were cool, though.
“This is beautiful,” she said as she looked around.
She nodded toward my painting. “This is Leonardo Bianchi. You have great taste,” She smiled.
“Whoever that nigga is, that’s cool. My decorator brought that shit here and I almost gave it away.”
She snorted as I gave her a tour of the house.
“Why does one man need this much space?” She asked, leaning against the bar once we had finished.
“For my wife and our kids,” I answered. The words caused her head to snap back. She palmed her chest.
“Interesting,” she said as I pulled her to me.
My phone buzzed for the third time in a row. I pulled it from my pocket and looked at it.
Facial recognition detector: Potential threat. Critical alert. Please review.
I clicked the notification from my facial recognition system that I had attached to my doorbell. There was a still image of Ivy there that had a red alert. I clicked it and waited for the report to run.
Error: Report failed. Please try again.
I pressed the button for a second time. Two profiles detected.I pressed the run report button for a third time, and still nothinghappened.Thereport will be available in three to five business days.
“Did you hear me, handsome?” She asked as she turned to me.
“Nah, baby. What’s up?” I asked as I put my phone back into my pocket.
“I said that I want to take a shower. Come show me where the towels are.” She smiled and kissed me. I put the security alert to the back of my mind, and I led her to the master bedroom again. Figuring that maybe it detected Ivy as a threat because she was from the Cartel or another country.
“There’s some in here,” I said as I handed her the towel.
“No,” She pulled my hand to stop me before I could walk away and gave me the craziest smirk.
“What’s up, Ivy?” I scanned her body as she slowly undressed in the middle of the doorway. The way she moved while she did it kind of had me zoned out for a second, dick bricked again.
“Come bathe with me,” she threw over her shoulder as she turned to walk into the room.
I left a trail of my clothes on the way to the shower because I followed her ass right in there. This was just the beginning of my relationship with Ivy. And for now, everything else surrounding us would have to wait.
CHAPTER 10
Ivy
The alarm clock rang for the second time after I hit snooze, and I almost cried. I peeled myself away from Judah, and I slowly trotted toward the bathroom to take a shower and do my morning routine. I smiled as I noticed the layout of the counter; he had given me my own side of the sink, and it made me beam. He really made me feel at home when I arrived.
My entire body felt like noodles, but in a relaxed way. I spent the better part of the night having things done to my body that you only saw in the nastiest of porn, and I was spent. But today was the first day of the conference, and no matter how tired I was, I wanted to be in attendance. I turned on the shower and waited for the water to reach the desired temperature, while brushing my teeth with my eyes closed. If not for wanting to meet my favorite meteorologist, who was on the panel, I would definitely be in bed snuggled against Judah’s chest.
