Vulcan and his alpha, Andrew, are good guys, so we're not surprised when he smiles or attempts to.

"Just now?" he asks, tilting his head to where Remus and I were staring into the crowd when we found our omega's citrusy scent again.

At first, we thought it was a trick or our imagination, but it grew more potent. When we saw her, she was more beautiful than anything we could've ever dreamed up. Tanned skin that made her look like she spent a lot of time outdoors, long dark hair spilled out and over her shoulders. From what we could tell, she wore a modest blouse, but that was all we managed to see since she was part of the crowd. Those dark eyes, intent and staring at us though? We'll never forget them.

"Just now," Remus says, "Sorry, but I need to go claim her."

Vulcan realizes how serious we are when we go for the first strike. He barely blocks it, but we're quick and hit him with two jabs. He swings a right hook at us, but we're ready for it, dodging it, getting up close, and turning this into a grapple.

Before the bell rings, he's on the mat, tapping out when we get him in an armbar. Once again, just like seven months ago, we hop out of the ring before we can be announced the winner, but Phil's there telling them there's an emergency, so no one thinks I have poor sportsmanship. As I duck between the ropes, I hear Vulcan telling them all they should wish me luck since I'm off to court an omega, which earns a laugh from the crowd.

Remus snorts, but even he knows we're just as excited about this revelation as the others seem to be for us. He hasn't stopped thinking about his omega since we first scented her, and god forbid I ever accidentally call her mine. Remus and I get along well, but not having our omega with us has been hard on him. He's only ever shown interest in one, and she might've, maybe, become his sole obsession since scenting her.

"Phil told me I have to stay with you no matter what because you're acting weird," Jace tells me, making sure to be as annoying as possible, which is pretty easy for him since he just turned nineteen and thinks he knows everything there is to know about anything.

"He wants you to stay with me so I don't bite the omega before she accepts me," Remus says, dry as ever. He's not usually out for this long after a fight, preferring to leave me to do all the talking, but he's intent on finding our omega and making her ours, so I'm sure he'll stay out until she's accepted him.

"You found her?" Jace asks, his voice higher pitched in his excitement, which he coughs to clear up before asking again in a slightly deeper voice. "You found her?"

"Yes," Remus responds.

Jace wants more information than that, but we're tracking down the scent of our pretty omega, and we don't have time to answer stupid questions. Not that we mind when Jace asks us questions, because we don't most of the time. But this isn't like most of the time, and all the patience Remus and I usually have has been washed down the drain along with our sanity ever since we scented our omega and couldn't find her.

Her scent ends in front of the locker room, where loads of suppressant still tinge the air with its sterile after smell.

"That's Kyle's locker room," Jace tells me, as though that could stop Remus and me from finding our omega. "You really shouldn't do anything until Phil gets here."

Jace is right, but it's hard to listen to reason when everything Remus and I have ever wanted might be on the other side of the door.

"I'm just going to look," Remus says, and all three of us know he's a liar.

"Don't," Jace says, trying to get between us and the door.

Remus is a strong beast. He demands more submission just existing in my body than most alphas could ever even dream of. Jace trying to get between him and something he wants won't end well. Not because Remus will hurt him. No, he'll just exert the smallest amount of his power, and it'll fuck with Jace's mind just like it does to any alpha who feels it.

Remus growls, lacing it with a hint of demand for submission. Jace's eyes flash golden, Vilkas coming out as his lips pull back, but he's smart enough to know to tilt his head to the side and move over. The citrus scent blooming on the opposite side of the door means that we're going in no matter what.

"Dick move," Vilkas growls at us as we pull the door to the locker room open.

He'll understand one day when he's off chasing his own omega, but he's not wrong that it's a dick move. One that we'll apologize for later.

Right now, we're too busy staring at the most beautiful omega we've ever seen. Her scent fills the air around us, my pheromones working overtime to coat her in them, to mark her as mine. Her hand falls to her abdomen protectively, and oh.

Doesn't matter. It just means we have two to care for now.

Remus takes a step closer to her, his purr coming out sounding like he's never used it a day in his life, because we haven't. We'venever had an omega to use it on, a beta either, and we're not going to sit in our bedroom, alone, and just practice purring.

We will. I can't comfort her if I sound like I'm broken.

You sound fine. Look, she's relaxing.

At least she is until Kyle rounds the corner of the lockers and pauses when he sees the two of us. His nostrils flare, scenting the mixture of my omega and me as we awkwardly stare at one another.

"First, you want my title. Now you want my sloppy seconds?" Kyle asks as he saunters over to where we're standing.

Remus snorts, his amusement feigned, "Here for the omega. Care about you as much as I care about the title."

Kyle's cheeks flush red as the disinterest in Remus's voice makes him angry. His beast is still well-contained, though. He knows a losing fight when he sees one, and if he fights me now, he'll just be losing to me again.
