We drive in silence, making our way to Kyle's apartment building. He made a post earlier that he was going out tonight to drink away all the problems this "stupid bitch omega" was giving him. The comments were a mixture of support and calling him out on being a piece of shit. I'm just hoping he makes good on his word of going out. We'll follow him around a bit until he's drunk and then jump him. Probably for the best if it looks like a mugging or something gone wrong.

Back on the murder mission.

Do not give it a cutesy nickname.

Murder mission isn't cutesy. It's manly. Our manly murder mission.

Alliteration doesn't make something sound cool.

Says you.

"Hey, so how pissed are you at the guy who released that video of Hayley at the gym?" Jace asks, ending the stupid argument Remus and I are having.

"Remus wants to give whoever it was a beatdown, but his murder fixation is solely on Kyle. Why? Do you know who it was?" I ask, my brows tugging together as I look at Jace through the rearview mirror.

His cheeks are flushed, his eyes a little wider than normal, but he's still on his phone, so I don't know if he's reacting to my words or something he's seeing.

"Just curious. We can talk about it after this whole Kyle thing," Jace says, clicking his phone screen off before plastering a smile on his lips and making eye contact with me in the mirror. "It's kind of sad that all those other women won't get justice for what he did to them since we're going to kill him tonight."

I slow the car down to a stop in a spot outside Kyle's apartment building. There are a couple of cop cars parked by the entrance, but they look empty.

Jace's words take a moment to register since they don't make much sense to me until I take a second. Other women? I put the car in park and twist around to look at the alpha in the backseat.

"What are you talking about?"

"What? You know Hayley isn't the first woman he's done this same shit to, right?" Jace asks me like I'm an idiot, and maybe I am because I didn't think about how Kyle might've affected anyone except for Hayley. My jaw clenches tighter, and I take a deep breath through my nose.

"How many?" I don't know if I actually want to know the answer to that or if I'd rather live in blissful ignorance.

"Don't know yet," Jace shrugs. "They've been coming out after that video blew up. I guess a lot of them thought no one would believe them."

I feel sick at the thought of this happening to more women, knowing Kyle left multiple omegas to deal with their heat on their own, to deal with the consequences of him not actually being sterilized on their own.

I rub my eyes, realizing that as much as I want to end Kyle for what he did to my omega, she's not the only one who's been hurt by him. She's not the only one who deserves to know that he's paying for what he did to her.

I hold out my hand, and Jace slides his phone into my hand, already opened on an article titled 'Charges filed against MMA title holder Kyle Ward. Inside sources say there's upwards of a dozen victims.'

As if the universe is making it clear that there was no way I was going to kill Kyle tonight, he comes screaming out of his apartment building, police officers on either side of him. His hands are behind his back, each officer with a hold on his arms.

My stomach twists in an unexpected way, watching him being escorted out of the apartment building. I look back down at the article, noticing it's timestamped for only a few minutes ago, which means Jace knew a lot more about all of this than he's letting on.

I don't roll my window down to hear what Kyle is screaming about. It's pretty clear he's unhappy about whatever he's being arrested for, but I just don't have it in me to care about anything he says ever again. There are too many other things running through my mind. I need to figure out what this means for Hayley and her daughter. What it means for me. What it means for the family we're trying to start.

"Does Hayley know?" I ask.

"We didn't know when this was all going to break," Jace shrugs. "Henry wanted to come with you to keep you from doing something stupid, but I told him I could do it."

"And he thought you could handle it?" I ask, barking out a laugh that has barely a hint of humor in it. "I thought he didn't know how strong you are."

"He doesn't, but he knows I'm stubborn and annoying." Jace looks proud as he says it. "But, if the news hadn't dropped yet, I was going to make you my bitch."

Remus flares to life at the stab at our dominance, but Jace doesn't rise to the bait like we did. He just throws his head back and lets out another full belly laugh. At least one of us is enjoying themselves.

"You're not stronger than me," Remus growls. He sounds certain, but I'm in his head and neither of us is sure how true that is.

Vilkas didn't try to make him submit when the two of them had their stand-off earlier. He could be stronger than us, and we just don't know it yet.

"Guess we'll never know," Jace says, grabbing his phone off the floor of the car. "We should head back now, though. The news will be getting to your omega soon."
