HOT WATER beat down on him, his eyes shut as he hummed contentedly, Kaz’s fingers massaging his scalp. He could get used to this. Hewantedto get used to this. As much as the longing in his chest terrified him, he wanted this. He wanted to be with Kaz. He wantedthisforever.

He tipped his head back to let the water rinse out the shampoo, a smile flittering across his lips at the feel of Kaz’s fingers running through his hair.

He blinked against the drops of water on his lashes. Kaz’s face was set in concentration as he worked on Miles’s hair, and he loved him more for it. He pressed his lips to the side of Kaz’s neck, dragging his teeth lightly over the skin. He smelled so fucking good.

The tap to his ass had him chuckling.

“You’re trouble,” Kaz said, his voice a deep rumble he savored. He leaned back to grin up at Kaz.

Kaz shook his head and reached behind Miles to turn off the water. Miles didn’t let him step out of the shower before plastering himself against the man.

“It’s a good thing I don’t have work today,” he mumbled, rubbing his stubbled cheek against Kaz’s chest. “I would’ve been hours late.”

A huff of laughter filled his ears as Kaz’s chest rumbled under him.

“No one would blame you,” Kaz said.

Miles pulled back, his brows raised. “Thinking a little too highly of yourself, huh?”

He licked his lip when the corner of Kaz’s mouth turned up, that infuriating smirk making his heart race. He let Kaz pull him out of the shower and watched with his lip caught between his teeth as Kaz used a towel to dry him off. Heat rushed through him, and he did nothing to hide his reaction. Kaz skipped right over his erection with the towel, a devilish smile on his lips.

He didn’t give Kaz time to dry himself off before he put his hands on the man’s chest and walked him backward out of the bathroom.

He pushed Kaz to sit down on the bed, and then he climbed into his lap, lips finding Kaz’s. The man smiled into the kiss, his hands sliding over Miles’s ass cheeks, squeezing once before letting go. A sound of protest rose in Miles’s throat, but it died when Kaz moved them further onto the bed, lying down and pulling Miles with him.

His phone buzzed with an incoming call, but he ignored it, lips trailing down Kaz’s chest, fingers sliding through dark hair. The phone fell silent for only a second before it began buzzing again.

He pulled back with a soft curse, Kaz’s amused smile making him pout.

He leaned over Kaz to see who was calling.

“It’s Ezra. He’s like a witch. He knows somehow.”

Kaz huffed out a laugh that brought Miles’s attention back to him, and he lowered his head to put his lips back on him. He paused an inch from Kaz’s mouth, a groan pushing past his lips when the phone kept vibrating.

“He’s gonna keep calling.”

“Better answer it, then,” Kaz said, amusement trailing his words.

He reached for his phone with a soft curse, and the second he pressed that green button, his best friend’s snarky voice had him rolling his eyes.

“That dick better be damned good for you to ignore me like this.”

Miles hung his head, knowing he was blushing.

“I’m sorry, Ez. Feeling a little neglected?”

“Yes,” Ezra snapped, though his tone was light. “How dare you forget about your best friend over some hunk?” There was a two-second pause and then, “How hunky is he?”

Miles choked on a laugh and ran his gaze over Kaz’s body. His tattoos were a work of art. Or maybe that was just him. Kaz had always been drop-dead gorgeous. He’d hated that when he was younger, because he hadn’t been able to curb his attraction to the man even when Kaz mocked him and pushed his every button until he snapped.

“Very hunky,” he admitted, unsurprised by the heated look Kaz gave him.

“Bitch, you better start talking,” Ezra said, a smile clear in his voice.

Hands slid up his thighs, making him swallow his next words. His head snapped up, and fuck if Kaz wasn’t wearing that fucking smirk as he jerked Miles closer, their groins connecting. He squirmed in Kaz’s lap to try and get away, but all it did was make them both harder.

“Kaz,” he protested, biting his lip to keep from moaning.
