"What do you mean?"Savage frowned.

"Prospects often find themselves tending bar here, waiting on the rest of the brothers as needed.Since she manages the place now, she'd be your boss."

Savage nodded slowly, his gaze going back to where Jailbait had disappeared from view upstairs, but he didn't say anything.

"Has Tuck introduced you to everyone here?"Mac asked, making Savage look at him again. The kid scanned the room then looked back to Mac.

"Everyone but the woman on the pole, I assume she's another hooker and doesn't belong to any of the men?"

Mac didn't have to look to know who the kid meant. He'd seen Double D draped on the bar, barely hanging onto it as she spun in circles and took off most of her clothes to give the pair of brothers watching her a show.

"Not a hooker, not exactly. But no, she doesn't belong to anyone. She's just a piece of ass who hangs around the club looking for a drink or a hit, and she's not above sucking or fucking to get what she wants."He met the kid's gaze."Don't let her try to convince you of anything else. She's fender fluff. She likes the bikes and whatever high or low she can get. We've got another like her that hangs around and a couple more whores. They're fair game to anyone who wants them.Usually first come first serve, though they'll try for rank before they'll follow a prospect up the stairs, and they're not picky, they'll do you right here in front of everyone. But you need to be careful, most of the women around here these days belong to someone, and not all of them wear a patch, at least not all the time."

Savage blinked a couple times as if letting Mac's words sink in."Thanks for the warning.I'll try to remember it."

"I've never seen any of the ol' ladies take a turn on the pole, but some of them might try it.Though it likely wouldn't be in front of the whole club. You'll figure out who they are in time.Is Double D the only one Tuck didn't introduce you to?"

"Double D?"

Mac glanced over to the corner of the room to find that Double D had given up on the pole and was now sucking off Stretch on the couch where he'd been watching her show from."See what I mean?"He tilted his head toward the pair.

Savage followed his gaze. The kid's eyes went wide then he blinked, and his face took on a carefully cultivated blank look.Mac couldn't help but be impressed. There were a few fully patched Souls who didn't yet have an expression like that yet. Some used an amused face, some just blank but eventually they all learned to have at least one expression that gave away nothing about what they were thinking. That Savage already had one down pat was good.It would make him more useful to the club and more flexible in the kind of assignments he could be given.Mac made a mental note to make sure Tuck knew the kid had a good poker face.

It was almost twenty minutes later that Tuck stood in the double doorway that led into the backroom and let out a loud whistle.Mac tossed back the last of the scotch in his glass then stood, grabbing the bottle by the neck and taking it and the glass with him. With the rest of the brothers present, including the two prospects Savage and the one that had been around a few weeks, Sackett, made his way into the back room. There, he found Tuck and the rest of the officers, Sadist, Ruger, Ghost and Gizmo, already seated in their spots and waiting. No one but the officers had assigned seats, so Mac found the first empty seat and claimed it.He poured another drink before setting the bottle down and looking around.

Sackett closed the door closed, locking it and turning so the door was at his back, Savage stood beside him. They were the only two on their feet. The rest of the brothers, and it looked like most of them had made it, were seated around the large conference room table, waiting for whatever they'd been called together for.

"First, thanks for coming out. This wasn't a scheduled meeting and I know I pulled a few of you away from things you'd rather not leave."Tuck's gaze skimmed the room as he spoke."Our latest prospect showed up a few days before I expected him, but I want you all to meet him.I want you all to be able to recognize him should you encounter him somewhere. This is Savage."The president nodded at the kid who stepped forward, one hand clasping his wrist behind his back in a classic military parade rest pose.

Mac made a mental note to say something to the kid about that. They were a motorcycle gang.No.They were a motorcycleclub. That pose was an instant giveaway that he was military and not something most people would think was part of the club. He'd need to lose it, and quick or risk blowing their cover.

There was a murmur of voices, pulling Mac back to what was going on around him.A few of the members were introducing themselves, Mac assumed they were the ones who had come in since Tuck had left him and Savage at the table.

"Savage isn't like our typical prospect," Tuck continued."As I'm sure you can see, he's older to start with. He's got more experience, both battle and real life, as he was a SEAL."Tuck looked at the new guy."Do you have anything you want to say to us all while you've got our attention?"

Savage stepped forward."I'm glad to meet you all and grateful for the opportunity.I hope to find my place among you before too long.I do have one favor to ask.I had to sell my last bike, so I'm going to be needing to find one here.Is there anyone willing to help me with that?"The kid scanned the room watching for volunteers.

"That would be me," Mac spoke up."Whether you're looking for a stock bike or something custom, I'd check it out for you and take care of any work you want done.Well, anything you don't want to do yourself. The shop next door is mine, feel free to stop by when you're ready to sit down and figure out what you're after."

Savage's head dipped once."Thank you.I'll do that."

"Anything else?"Tuck asked.

"I'm good, sir.I assume anyone who has questions will come to me when they're ready?"Savage lifted one brow.

"They likely will.I do want to caution you about where you talk about your past and club business. Most of the women don't know what we really are, and we want to keep it that way.Keep in mind, one slip could mean not just your life but all of ours too."

"I understand, sir.It won't be a problem.I'm well versed in PERSEC as well as OPSEC."

"I'm sure you are, but it never hurts to remind people, and not just the new guy, but all of us."Tuck's gaze slowly moved across the room, so they all knew he wasn't talking to any one person but aiming the comment at all of them.

Mac understood.People fell into a routine and got complacent. But life with the Souls was dangerous and complacency could cost them everything.

"If that's all you have, I'll dismiss the two of you and the rest of us can move on to other club business.Remember, until you're a patched member, you don't get to sit in on club meetings, with a few exceptions, like tonight."

"Yes, sir."Savage nodded in a way that let Mac know he hadn't been out of the Navy long.It was too much like a sailor speaking to a commanding officer, no matter what the sailor's rank.Mac could only hope some of that wore off, and quickly.

Sackett unlocked the door and opened it, the two prospects left, pulling the door shut behind them.Gizmo got up and locked it behind them. The lock had barely clicked into place when Tuck spoke again.
